Chapter 105
Third Person POV
-Pack House
their father’s old office, Ares and Eros had been sitting in there
‘Kai, any luck on locating Lily? asks Ares to his Beta. Currently sitting for most of the day, each trying to find clues that could possibly lead them to Lily’s location.
Having done rounds around the pack grounds as well with the pack members of new and old, Eros and Ares had decided that now would be a good time as any to working on trying to find Lily for the girl had given them the slip the last time and this time they were bound and determined to find her if it was the last thing they did.
Not yet my Alpha… We’re still trying to figure out where she could be mean after all, one doesn’t just hang out with a Witch unless it’s a Witch who’s coven had something to gain or to lose by helping you admits Kai, for he along with the others were currently all out scouting the area for any sign of her or for any possible clues as well.
Sighing, Eros and Ares both move to lean back against their chairs. Alright, keep looking. But don’t stray too far from the pack‘ orders Eros this time, his eyes looking to Ares who all but looked annoyed by their little bump in the road.
‘Will do‘
Once the connection with Kai has ended does Eros move to sigh. “Damn it! Where the fuck could she be?” groans Eros, not liking the fact they couldn’t find Lily.
“Your guess is as good as mine” replies Ares, moving to stand up before moving to go over to the window, eyes shifting to those just outside the pack house. Their pack all but bigger since they merged Rick and Alex’s pack together.
“Not helping dude. You know what I mean by that. For anytime we didn’t want her, she always and I mean always had a knack for showing up. But now, when you actually do want her she’s gone without a trace” remarks Eros, his eyes looking to that of his brother as he spoke.
“I know what you mean” groans Ares, his eyes still focused on the outside.
“So if you know, then why ask stupid questions?” asks Eros, curious to find out why he would all but do that.
“I don’t know,” replies Ares with a sigh. “Wasn’t really thinking that one through when I all but spoke those words. And I guess I wasn’t expecting you to have an answer for it either” chuckles Ares, his eyes now moving back to those of his brothers.
“Besides… We can’t afford to give up now. Athena and the pups all but depend on us” adds Ares, remembering their past conversations about her dream and all the death and horror she had seen prior to giving birth to the pups. A dream that would never sit well with them
ever.
“You don’t think that I know that? Of course I know that, I wasn’t born yesterday” growls Eros, not happy that his brother had all but said
that.
Just then the sound of Athena’s voice all but rings over to them through the bond they shared. Her voice held nothing but worry and concern as she moved to speak up.
‘Ares? Eros?‘
Blinking at her voice, do they move to reply back to her, trying to keep their voices calm and collected so as not to scare her even more.
‘Yes love?‘ called Ares first.

Chapter 105
Is everything okay? asks Frot Secondly, again not sure what was wrong until she all but spoke up again.
Adrian just told me that he fell as if someone was watching us answell Athena, as if afraid to admit her own fears.
“Watching? asks Eros, not liking the sound of that not one little bit.
‘Yes… Watching us. And while I’m trying hard not to panic, I have no reison to think that Adrian would lie to me about it,‘ explained Athena, her mates able to sense every emotion there was from her.
Hmmm.. hums Ares, moving to think over his next set of words carefully before speaking them again.
‘Hmmm… What?‘ asks Athena, attempting not to snap at us for our lack of concern.
“Nothing love, I was just thinking that was all. After all can’t be too careful over that fact‘ admits Ares hoping to put her mind at ease as he did.
‘Don’t worry love, Ares and I will do a perimeter check on our way home okay. We’ll double check to see if anyone has been close to our home recently explains Eros, wanting to do it right the first time around.
“Thank you‘ was all we heard before she moved to close the link, telling us that she was finished with this discussion.

‘Something doesn’t add up‘ growls Deimos to Eros once Athena has left
‘I know, but we don’t have any other clues to prove otherwise‘ grumbles Eros to his wolf.
Grumbling, Deimos all but moves to ignore this human knowing that it was pointless to argue with him when their mate needed them to check the perimeter of the house.
“Alright, let’s be off” whispers Eros, moving to stand up from his spot before both he and his brother move to leave the office. Both heading for the outside where once there they move to shift into both Deimos and Zeus.
Howling, both run to make the 10 minute trip back to the house only to pause. New scents all but starting to surround the area as if there had been more than just one at some point. Just standing there, watching and waiting as if to strike.
Growling, Deim
moves to look to his brother.
‘You smell that?‘ asks Eros, Deimos still in control of his body, as he all but moved to follow the scents.
‘Of course I do. Smells like Witches, Rogues and…‘ starts Ares, both knowing who’s scent was also mixed in with those present.
‘Lily‘
Nodding, they move to continue the search. Ares reaching out to Kai as they did.
‘Kai? Return to our home. Somethings come up. NOW‘ orders Ares.
‘Sure, be there soon. We all will‘
And then, with that said, does Kai and the others move to return home. Knowing that whatever had just happened their Alpha’s had to have found something to call them back like they did, or otherwise they wouldn’t have called off the search as early as they did.
‘Guess we’ll find out soon, won’t we?‘ whispers Frost, hoping for something good opposed to all the dead ends they had been finding since the start of their search.
