Yasmin followed Felix’s command immediately, sensing the urgency in his tone even though he had not explained why. They tailed two black Cadillac SUVS for about 30 minutes until they reached a remote area, which was not uncommon in Guneria.
Then, four people in dark clothing emerged from the vehicles and entered a building, one of them carrying a black briefcase. Anxious and consumed by thoughts of the Dragonspine, Felix did not think much and just asked Yasmin to drop him off near the establishment.
“Ms. Qualls, you can head back now,” he said.
Two imposing security guards stood at the entrance, immediately stopping Felix. One of the guards gruffly stated, “Entry requires a pair–one male, one female–and it’s 500 dollars per person. Can’t you read the sign?”
Without bothering to check the sign, Felix rushed back to Yasmin, who had not left yet. “Ms. Qualls, would you mind accompanying me inside? This place has some weird rule that requires a man and a woman to enter.”
Yasmin appeared puzzled by the requirement but noticed the urgency in Felix’s eyes. So, she parked the car nearby and walked with him to the entrance.
While Felix was handling the payment, Yasmin glanced at the sign, and her expression shifted to one of surprise. Before she could speak, Felix had already guided her inside.
The interior was dimly lit, with soft music floating through the air. A staff member greeted them and guided them further inside, where semi–private booths were separated by thin,
sheer curtains..
As they walked, Yasmin and Felix began to notice what was happening behind those curtains- silhouettes of entwined bodies moving suggestively–and the muffled sound of music mixed with unmistakable, explicit noises.
“What kind of place is this?” Felix muttered.
Every booth they passed showed the same scene. Even though the curtains obscured the details, it was obvious what was happening. Some women were completely uninhibited, their voices leaving little to the imagination.
The attendant announced, “Here’s your booth. If you need anything, just press the service button on the wall.”
After the attendant left, Felix and Yasmin sat awkwardly on the curved couch, both clearly uncomfortable with their surroundings.
Felix was especially annoyed. He could not believe that people would actually gather in public and even pay money–for something like this. Moreover, the place was packed.
“D–Dr. Zeller, I tried to tell you what I saw on the sign outside,” Yasmin stammered, lowering

her gaze as her face flushed red.
“I’m so sorry. I had no idea what this place was,” Felix apologized. But since they were already there, Felix decided to focus on his mission.
He added, “Wait for me here. I need to head to the restroom.‘
Felix’s senses told him that the Dragonspine was still inside the building. He planned to use his Shadow Mask in the restroom to sneak into the restricted areas and take it without leaving any loose ends.
However, Yasmin misunderstood his intentions. “You don’t need to go to the restroom–they probably offer other services if you just press the call button.”
Felix was exasperated by the misunderstanding, and he wondered what Yasmin thought he would be doing at the restroom. After all, he certainly was not the kind of person who could not control himself.
