In another ward, after the door closed, I couldn’t help but furrow my brows, “What does Elias want?”
Ava shook her head, not wanting to discuss the matter. “It’s nothing. He’s just the playful type, and he didn’t give me a hard time. You should go back now. You have work tomorrow.”
My eyes flickered, “Alright, then. Take care and call me if you need anything.”

I left, closing the door behind me. As I turned, I saw Lukas coming out from the neighboring ward.
Both of us glanced at each other and then averted our gazes simultaneously.
I squeezed my fingers. I hadn’t done anything wrong, so why should I feel like had done something worth being guilty about?
With this thought in mind, I turned my head and walked towards the elevator as if nothing had
happened.
Lukas followed me silently.
Both of us stepped into the elevator at the same time, and I felt a bit uneasy seeing our two
reflections on the elevator wall.
