- Chapter 5
After a noisy morning, Luella took the initiative to suggest treating everyone.
Kayson refused with just one word.
“No need, you’ve caused enough trouble, please leave.”
Luella pulled his hand and walked towards the door as if she hadn’t heard the words.
Several brothers, afraid that he wouldn’t go, grabbed Greta by the way and left the house together.
A group of people drove to the hot spring resort.
Greta rarely socialized with them, so she had a hard time fitting in at first.
She also didn’t want to get involved, sitting alone in the corner, watching the lively scene of them
toasting and exchanging cups.
Kayson noticed her discomfort and walked over to her, wanting to pour her a glass of juice.
She was about to take it, but he stood up straight and walked straight into the crowd.
The glass of whiskey in Luella’s hand was just about to reach her lips when he snatched it away.
Then, a scolding voice echoed through the room.
“You are allergic to alcohol, yet you dare to drink. Are you trying to kill yourself?”
Luella blinked her eyes and looked at him innocently.
“I thought it was juice, I just got it wrong, why are you so angry?”
She said as she casually took the glass of juice from his right hand, smiling with curved eyebrows
and eyes.
“Thank you.”
Kayson’s hand involuntarily tightened.
But he didn’t say anything in the end, turned around and returned to his original position, and casually handed over the cup in his hand.
Greta did not reach out her hand as she watched the restless person in front of her and the clear
yellow liquid in the glass.
She picked up her bag and stood up, her voice sounding faint.
didn’t drink alcohol; I went to soak in the hot springs first.”
Kayson realized that he had handed the wrong glass, and his mind was filled with Luella. He had

mistakenly given Greta a glass of wine, thinking it was juice.
He wanted to explain a few words about what had just happened, but Greta had already left quickly.
He didn’t have time to speak.
The warm spring water relaxed Greta’s tired nerves.
She leaned against the wall, watching the continuously rising white mist. Gradually, she became a little tired and unknowingly fell asleep.
Perhaps accustomed to the noisy sounds, she did not hear the knocking at the door outside.
Kayson called her several times but she didn’t respond. Feeling a bit anxious, he pushed the door open directly.
Seeing her drowsy appearance, his heart skipped a few beats, and he quickly jumped into the hot
spring to lift her up.
Greta groggily opened her eyes, forced to grab onto her shoulders due to the sensation of
weightlessness.
The air was filled with moisture, our skins were close to each other, and the atmosphere became ambiguous in an instant.
Kayson couldn’t help but bend down.
Just as the two people’s breaths intertwined, a sudden sound of footsteps broke in.
As Luella entered and saw this scene, the smile on her face instantly froze.
She bit her lip tightly, with the shock and disappointment in her eyes undisguised. She clenched her hands and turned around, running away.
Kayson stood frozen in place.
His first reaction was to put down Greta and quickly followed after her.
Only one sentence is left.
“She misunderstood, I will go and explain.”
Misunderstanding?
They were clearly a legally married couple, so even if their kiss was seen, what is there to explain?
He was simply immersed in the past, placing himself in the role of Luella’s boyfriend.
So that’s why I subconsciously wanted to explain.
For those who were once willingly tamed for love, how could they easily change this habit?

Watching his hurried departure, Greta smiled gently and then her eyes turned red.
she wrapped herself in a blanket, opened the window to get some fresh air, and happened to see Luella rushing out.
She forcefully opened the car door and was immediately grabbed by Kayson’s hand.
The clear and distinct sound of two people arguing hurriedly fell into Greta’s ears.
“Greta fell asleep, I was just worried about her catching a cold, is it necessary for you to get so angry?”
“Yes, she was your wife, and I had no right to be angry! Go back and be with her, there’s no need to explain so much to me, your ex–girlfriend.”
“Luella, you had to say such things, right?”
“What did I say? I spoke nothing but the truth!”
As soon as this sentence came out, the two people parted ways unhappily.
Luella brushed away his hand with red eyes and sped away in the car.
Kayson, who was left behind, only hesitated for a few seconds before driving and catching up.
Greta silently turned around and entered the dressing room, as she watched the roadside return to silence with dust flying in the air.
When she came out after changing her clothes, she was immediately grabbed by a few impatient brothers who were stomping their feet.
“Sister–in–law, something happened! Kayson and the others got into a car accident!”
