Chapter 8
”
After leaving the hospital, Greta received a phone call from the staff saying that the visa had been processed.
She retrieved all her documents and started packing her luggage.
The calendar on the table would tear off a sheet every day, and soon it reached the bottom.
This year is about to end.
She was also about to leave the city where she had lived for over twenty years.
During this week, Kayson did not come back once.
Luella, on the other hand, would send provocative messages every day.
On the seventh day before, she posted a video where Kayson was half–kneeling on the ground, gently massaging her calves.
味
Greta watched as she threw all the things she had bought for him over the years into the trash bin.
On the fifth day before the end, she sent a few photos. Kayson delivered a box of jewelry and personally put a ring on her hand.
Greta casually smashed the wedding photo into pieces and then threw it into the fire.
On the third last day, there was a recording where Kayson fell asleep but kept muttering her
with a sincere and heartfelt tone.
Greta sent all the gifts she received after her marriage to herself to a charity organization.
The villa, which she once regarded as “home,” gradually became vacant.
And her few belongings were gradually packed up.
name,
The household servants, upon seeing this scene of decluttering, became somewhat worried and approached her several times to inquire about what had happened.
She smiled and spoke in a relaxed tone.
“We got divorced, that’s all.”
“Sir, agreed?”
Agreed?
Greta didn’t know.
ut she thought that Kayson, at that time, would probably be very happy if he saw the divorce
agreement.

After all, in his heart and mind, Luella was all he could think about at that moment.
The day before yesterday, Luella sent another message.
This time, the camera focused not on Kayson, but on his parents.
Looking at the photo of three people happily chatting around a sickbed, Greta felt no emotions.
She still did not reply, but instead she clicked into her contacts and deleted Luella, Kayson, and everyone associated with them.
On the day of departure, the first snowfall arrived.
Greta moved all the diaries and unsent love letters she had sorted out last night to the courtyard.
The orange firelight illuminated her face and consumed all the thoughts of teenage emotions that
were recorded within her heart.
She looked up and watched the snowflakes falling one after another, wondering how much longer it
would snow before it could cover up these ashes.
While I was lost in thought, the tightly closed door suddenly opened.
Long–lost Kayson has returned, hurrying footsteps.
He glanced at the person squatting on the ground and then went into the living room.
When he came out again, he stopped by Greta’s side.
Looking at those light pink envelopes, he couldn’t help but recall the letter from the party.
That heart, which had been angry for a long time, eventually slowly softened.
“I have been busy lately, let’s talk properly after a couple of days when I am done with my work.”
What are you talking about?
Divorce?
Greta smiled, looked up at him, and spoke in a calm and indifferent voice.
“Let’s stop talking about it. The thing you wanted the most, I actually gave it to you a month ago.”
What?
What is it?
Kayson was about to ask when his phone rang a few times.
He opened and saw those messages, with a smile on his face.

Watching his expression, Greta threw the last few love letters into the fire and stood up.
Her flowing skirt blocked the burning bonfire behind her.
After Kayson replied to the message, the love letter had just finished burning, and he also forgot
what he had wanted to ask just now.
Greta personally escorted him to the door and opened the car door for him.
A gust of cold wind blew, and Kayson looked at her dressed lightly, gently urging her to go back and
not catch a cold.
Greta insisted on staying at the door to see him off.
Through the car window, Kayson saw her raise her hand and wave, softly saying something
He didn’t hear clearly, but it was just a reminder like “be careful on the road“.
In the past three years, he had listened to it countless times.
So it was not taken to heart.
The vehicle started and quickly disappeared from sight.
Greta stood alone in the snow for a long time before returning to her bedroom to put on her coat and carry her luggage downstairs.
The snow fell heavier and heavier, each flake landing on her head, from a distance, it looked like
white hair.
The taxi stopped at the entrance of the villa. Before getting in, she turned around for one last look and repeated the barely audible words.
“Never to be seen again, Aelhedge.”
“I never saw you again, Kayson.”
