Chapter 25
It was just a test, originally.
Ruth instantly relaxed her entire body.
She hadn’t even had time to catch her breath when she saw Llam seemingly unwilling to back down and argue back, so she quickly stopped him.
“It’s okay, Liam. I actually really want to have a conversation with Mr. Huynh too, after all, there are some things that shouldn’t be kept hidden.”
Upon hearing these words, Eddie’s Icy eyes cracked open slightly, gradually softening.
He glanced at his protective younger brother.
“The news I received about your divorce with Garrett is that he doesn’t intend to settle it privately. I have already contacted a team of lawyers, and I will follow up on this lawsuit throughout the process, so you don’t have to worry. After obtaining the divorce certificate, according to your parents‘ wishes, you will need to hold an engagement ceremony.”
“Is that all you have to say?”
Facing his younger brother’s questioning, Eddie nodded and turned away.
Ruth never expected things to develop in this direction.
She couldn’t help but lean in to Liam’s ear and asked in a low voice.
“Liam, do your family really not mind that I have been divorced?”
Eddie, who happened to be walking to the corner, turned his head and glanced at the two of them, speaking in a deep voice.
“As you said, my younger brother was an adult, he had the ability to think and judge, and he had the right to choose his own marriage. As long as he was willing, we would respect his wishes and not interfere, which was also the family tradition that has been passed down for centuries in the Huynh
family.”
Having witnessed numerous intrigues and power struggles within the wealthy families in the past, Ruth was taken aback when she heard about such peculiar family customs and rules for the first
time.
“Your home, why does it seem different from what I’ve heard?”
As Liam watched her display a rare expression of shock, he couldn’t help but find her adorable.
He held her hand and softened his voice to explain to her.
“You couldn’t really understand when you first came. But once you got to know everyone, your

would realize that we are actually quite different from what is rumored outside. Take my eldest brother, for example. He may seem strict and unapproachable, but he is actually just putting up a tough front. He is known for being easily persuaded. My sister–in–law even says that he wouldn’t dare to go against her wishes. And then there are my parents. They have retired and prefer a quiet life, so they don’t really like to talk in noisy situations like this…
Ruth gradually assimilated into the atmosphere of the Huynh family after living with them for nearly half a month.
She could feel that the Huynh family treated her sincerely and genuinely wished her and Liam well.
The anxious and worried heart that had been lingering for a long time before coming slowly settled
down.
The weather gradually cooled down as cold air moved northward. The weather forecast predicted that Gloomhelm would have a heavy snowfall at the end of the month.
Upon hearing this, Liam immediately started packing his luggage and said he would take her to see
the first snowfall.
She grew up in the north and spent her first winter in the south. She was infatuated with the mild temperature here and always said she wanted to take a few days off, a few days off.
After dragging on and on, it quickly came to the day before Yi Gao. Liam persuaded her persistently and finally got her on the plane.
As soon as the two people landed, large snowflakes started falling from the sky.
Liam, however, was not as excited and happy as imagined, instead, he urged her to go home.
Watching his anxious appearance, Ruth always felt something was off.
Wasn’t he here to see the first snow?
How come you saw the snow and reacted so indifferently?
She guessed that he must have some little secrets in his mind that she didn’t know, so he deliberately dragged on and refused to leave.
Liam only held on for ten minutes before he was defeated, and he confessed everything.
“Ruth, you have already agreed to my proposal, but you haven’t introduced me to your uncles and aunts. I will reach the legal marriage age by the end of next month. Don’t you think we should settle our marriage sooner?”
-.So
So it turns out you were in a hurry to have a title.
Ruth sighed. Her face filled with a helpless expression.
“Are you in such a hurry to get married? But my divorce case hasn’t been settled yet. Getting married like this would be illegal, right?”
Liam held her hand and put it in his pocket, leading her slowly into the snowy field.
