Chapter 1
Chapter 1
The year I loved Julian Winters most deeply was the year he vanished in a “fatal” car crash.
—
Everyone waited for me to break down to see me shatter into pieces – but I stayed eerily calm, without a single
tear.
Two years later, in a private room at a downtown bar, I caught him making out with a young woman.
His friends rushed over, tripping over their words: “After the crash, Julian was in really bad shape, completely unresponsive. He just woke up and can’t remember anything… We kept quiet to protect you from going through hell every day.”
Julian pulled away from the woman and walked over to me, trying to look concerned: “Hey, so… they’re telling me you’re supposed to be my fiancée? Look, I don’t remember anything, but if you’ve been waiting all this time… I guess I owe it to you to follow through with the marriage thing.”
I gave him a slight smile: “They lied. We’ve never met.”
What Julian didn’t know was that on the day of his “death,” I got a video.
There he was, laughing with his buddies: “God, the thought of being stuck with just Olivia after getting married – I can’t deal with that. I’m gonna fake my death, have some fun for a few years.
Just… keep an eye on her, make sure she doesn’t do anything stupid.”
What he didn’t realize was that during his two–year “death“…
I had found someone else.
His friends froze for a moment, then jumped in desperately:
“Olivia, how can you say you don’t know Julian? We’re the ones who kept the secret, not him.”
“Come on, Olivia, we did it to protect you. Now that Julian’s finally awake, don’t push him away just because you’re
hurt.”
The room filled with their accusations.
Before I could respond, a derisive laugh cut through the air.
Julian stood up from the couch, cigarette dangling between his fingers, with a smug, lazy confidence: “If we don’t know each other, that works for me. Saves me the hassle of dealing with all this.”
The young woman beside him immediately latched onto his arm, looking up at him with nervous adoration:
“Julian… I know you. She doesn’t deserve you. I… I’d marry you in a heartbeat…”
Julian said nothing, just threw me a cold glance before pulling her close and kissing her deeply.

After My Fiancé Fake Death, I Married His Best Frien
Chapter 1
His friends quickly moved to block my view, rushing to console me:
“Olivia, he has amnesia. You know he used to love you more than anything.”
“Come on, Liv, you need to help him remember. Stop being so stubborn about this.”
I opened my mouth to respond to Julian’s so–called friends, but a sudden pain shot through my stomach.
I felt the color drain from my face. Without another word, I turned and left the room.
I moved so quickly that no one had time to react.
After I disappeared, they turned to Julian with sighs:
“Man, you went too far. Olivia’s really upset – did you see how pale she got? What if she’s done with you for good?”
Julian just smiled, settling back onto the couch.
“Olivia’s easy to win back. Two years apart? Please. She’s still hung up on me.
“Besides, I’ve got this whole amnesia thing going. Once I’m done having fun, I’ll just tell her my memory’s back, say none of this was intentional. Won’t even need to apologize – just beckon, and she’ll come running.”
