For several days, Ryan didn’t know what she had been through. Although she used to have a strong will to survive, now her eyes showed no desire for life nor longing for death.
Like a calm lake, there were no ripples to be seen.
“Is it because of him? Did he hurt your hand?”
Aveline shook her head, “No.”
“Then it must be related to him, right? The genius schoolmate I know shouldn’t be like this.”
A trace of reluctance flashed across Ryan’s calm face as he looked at the snowflakes dancing outside the
window.
He sighed, “Perhaps he did love you that winter, but this winter he has chosen someone else. You shouldn’t dwell on the past.”

He sighed, “Since you have made up your mind, I have nothing to say. Aveline, do you know the consequences of removing the infusion port? Will you regret it?”
He always seemed to ask himself this question. Aveline smiled and said, “No regrets.”
She took off half of her clothes, revealing an arm and fair shoulders. The previous wound had healed,

Like the doctor from last time, Aveline clenched her teeth and used one hand to grip the cold tabletop, enduring the pain with all her might.
Ryan quickened his movements. By the time he finished stitching the wound, her hand was already numb from the pain. Her body was drenched in cold sweat, and she weakly slumped onto the chair.

As long as we find the top neurosurgeon the world, Leo, and he performs a craniotomy, there is an 80% chance that your father will wake up.”
“I’ve checked the information. Leo disappeared in a car accident five years ago. His life or death is
unknown.”
Aveline rested for a moment after drinking the water, although her arm wound still burned, and even the gentle touch of fabric made her wince. She stubbornly stood up, ready to leave.
“Senior, thank you. You don’t need to worry about my affairs anymore. Regardless of whether I divorce him or not, he won’t let me have any contact with other men. I don’t want to cause you trouble.”
