Alexander looked around the not–so–big apartment, every corner filled with traces of Aveline.
Seeing the baby crib in the room, the only thing she took with her from their marital home, Alexander’s emotions became complicated.

“If you’re not doing anything, then I’m going to sleep. Do as you please.” Aveline kept her face cold, grateful that she had escaped a disaster. Right now, all she wanted was to rest.
Hearing the sound of her closing the door, Alexander flicked off the ash from his cigarette. This was clearly the kind of relationship he wanted.
Why was he feeling so unhappy then?
