Nola was not as afraid of Elvis as before, and she was a bit mischievous when she spoke. Elvis was happy that she was close to him. They talked and laughed along the way. It was the first time Nola had been in a good mood when she went back to the Grant family.
When the car drove into the apartment complex, the security guards at the gate were a little surprised to see her in the car. Looking at the license plate of this car, they knew they couldn’t afford to mess with it. The security guards were very sensible and smiled at Nola, but she didn’t care.
After all, these security guards used to gossip about her behind her back. She didn’t care about it before and wouldn’t give them a hard time now. There were too many snobbish people. She didn’t bother to be angry about them.
Seeing the familiar environment, Nola gradually remembered what they were here for today.

She had said that she would come back with Elf, but she didn’t expect to run into Javion. They just arrived at the door almost at the same time.
Elvis didn’t follow Javion’s car too closely. When Javion got out of the car, Lelia and Tanya came out of the house to greet him, and Myles also came out. They all looked very cheerful.
This was deliberately arranged by Lelia. Knowing that Nola would bring Elvis back for dinner today, she didn’t want her to upstage Tanya.
Tanya was having a good relationship with Javion, and they had met each other’s parents. They would get married sooner or later. Although Nola was married, all she had was only a marriage certificate. She didn’t even hold a wedding, and the Grayson family hadn’t mentioned it at all.
Myles said what had happened to Chase was mostly because of Nola, but Lelia didn’t believe it.
Later when Tanya said the same words, she still didn’t believe it.
She used to be involved in the same situation. Elvis defended Nola in front of others, but he might also be acting. Without something substantial, she wouldn’t believe Nola was living happily.
Lelia thought Elvis just didn’t want people to see him treating his wife badly. Unless the Grayson family announced that Nola was Elvis‘ wife. Otherwise, Nola was still not admitted by them.
To be admitted was very important in wealthy families.
Many women married into wealthy families but were not admitted by family members. Although they looked glorious, there were helpless and bitter hidden behind them. Lelia was assured Nola was also living a miserable life even if she married into the Grayson family. In Lelia’s heart, Nola couldn’t compare with her daughter at all.
While Lelia was smug in her heart, a silver–gray Maybach parked at the door. Myles was also taken aback. He had seen this car at the door of the City Hall. Few people in Rachy City dared to use this license plate number.
Elvis got out of the car first and glanced at them indifferently. He walked around to the other side, opened the car door for Nola, and said softly, “Nola, watch your step!”
Nola kept up well with Elvis to show they were in deep love. She put her hand on his and got out of the car under the gaze of the Grant family,

When Lelia and Tanya saw Nola, they almost didn’t realize it was Nola who was not as rustic as before.

Tanya’s eyes were full of jealousy when seeing the dress worn by Nola. She had taken a fancy to it before and wanted to buy it. But after seeing the price, she could only save up money some time to buy it. When she went to buy it again, the only set was sold out.
She didn’t expect this dress to be worn on Nola. It was like a slap on her face which humiliated her again. She was envious and could only watch it helplessly.
When she came back to her senses, she saw Javion was captivated by Nola and kept staring at her.
Tanya pulled Javion’s arm forcefully. He finally reacted and looked away in embarrassment.
Nola was completely different from the one he saw before. Her outfit today stunned him as if this suit was tailor–made for her.
But her clear eyes and gentle smile were left to Elvis.
Their intimate interaction made Javion feel a little inexplicably unhappy like that night when Elvis came out from nowhere and took Nola away.
If what happened to Chase was done by Elvis for Nola, was the relationship between them really that good?
It had only been a month since the last dinner with them. How could they act like a couple in love for many years? Javion took a look at Elvis‘ car and suddenly felt he was surpassed.
The Lee family was not as wealthy as the Grayson family. Did that mean he was overshadowed so easily?
“Elvis is two years older than me. Maybe I can do better than him if I’m given two more years!” Javion thought in his mind and felt better when he told himself this way. Elvis was just born into the Grayson family with superior advantages. It didn’t mean Javion couldn’t surpass him one day.
Myles didn’t notice the subtle expressions of others. He waited for Elvis for so long, and he finally came. Anyway, he was the father of Nola who was loved by Elvis, and he felt proud to have such an outstanding son–in–law.
Even if there was some misunderstanding, Elvis would not do anything to him.
Although Nola was still angry, she didn’t want to argue with Myles, and she reluctantly called him dad in the end.
Myles was polite only because Elvis was there. His concerned look reminded Nola of how disgusting he looked in the past.
“What a coincidence. You came at the same time. It’s cold. Let’s go inside!”
They entered the house and sat down in the living room. Suddenly, the house fell into embarrassment.
Elvis greeted Myles out of respect. Lelia thought that it would be her turn next, but Elvis sat down with Nola directly and completely ignored Lelia and Tanya.
Lelia was dumbfounded and almost couldn’t hold back her complaints. Seeing Elvis had eyes only for Nola, she was about to speak but was glanced at by Elvis. His piercing gaze startled her, making her bite the words back.
Myles noticed Lelia was displeased, so he said with a smile, “Elvis, you may not know her. She is Nola’s mother.”
“Please don’t play around with me. Not anyone can be Nola’s mother.” He thought for a while and finally said, “This old woman, does she deserve it?”
