Nola couldn’t outargue Elvis, so she gave up trying.
Elvis said confidently, “That’s because I’m more reasonable than you.”
Nola thought, “Well! He was reasonable, and I was being unreasonable. I took the initiative to find a husband. What else could I do but dote on him?”

While she was in Elvis‘ office, gossip spread from the secretary’s office and inadvertently reached the human resources department. Her colleagues in human resources gossiped casually and made their own deductions. The whole story became more and more ridiculous.

In fact, they rarely saw each other alone. They hadn’t even seen each other before that dinner party. It was Javion who first saw her sitting by the window reading a book. He had an appointment with Tanya, but for some reason, he went to the café.
He didn’t know what was wrong with him, but he always felt that Nola had changed since she married Elvis. She could always easily attract his attention, while his body just appeared in front of her uncontrollably.
“Nola!”
Nola lifted her head and looked at Javion in confusion. She had might even think that they had agreed to meet here before.
She frowned unhappily. She did not like Javion’s appearance.
“Why are you here?”

Javion didn’t ask. He sat across from Nola and glanced at the folder next to her. The Grayson Group was printed on it. He laughed sarcastically, called to the waiter, and ordered a glass of coffee.
“Javion, I don’t think I gave you permission to sit here. Isn’t that a little rude?”
“At least you and I have loved each other. How can we not say hello when we meet? How are you? Are you going to work at the Grayson Group?”
Nola put her things away and said, “Where I work has nothing to do with you.”
“It has nothing to do with me, but you just happened to appear in front of me and were seen by me.” From his tone, it seemed like Nola had appeared here on purpose.

“This is my business. Not everyone likes to get something for nothing.” Nola replied. At least she was not that kind of person.
“Do you not like it, or do you not have the right? Didn’t Elvis treat you well? Why are you sitting here all alone? You look so pitiful.”
Nola didn’t want to explain so much to him. She could see that he was provoking her. If she argued seriously, she would fall into his trap.
“Mr. Lee can still sit here and chat during working hours. No wonder the Lee Group can only be like this”
But Javion was not angry and said, “You don’t have to provoke me with these words. I don’t care at all. You weren’t so great in the past, but I still doubt that you have a good life in the Grayson family.”
Nola chuckled and said, “Isn’t it ridiculous that Mr. Lee doesn’t care about your fiancée but about me? When Tanya finds out, I’m afraid it will be difficult for you to coax her.”
“Tanya is very sensible. She did not need me to coax her? Don’t change the topic. There is no one else around now. Why

Javion was enraged at Nola. Was he not good enough himself? With his appearance, he was welcomed by women wherever he went. But when it came to her, he was worthless.
A mocking laugh came from the side. “Mr. Lee, it turns out that you have such a thick skin. Nola dumped you, and now you’ve come to bother her. Tsk tsk tsk! You are shameless.”
Nola looked back and saw that Godwin was standing behind her. He waved at her with a smile and said, “Nola, we meet again.”
“Godwin!”
Javion knew Godwin had a good relationship with Elvis and Godwin had known Nola. Obviously, Elvis had introduced Nola to his families.
With a cold face, Javion didn’t sit down again and left with some grievances.
“Nola, it is a great thing that you did not agree to the Lee family’s marriage. You are so wise.”
