The camera focused on Zachary’s face. He wore a calm expression, but his eyes were deep and inscrutable.
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, he ascended the stage and positioned himself next to Susanna.
She was wearing high heels, making her a head taller than him.
The media went wild, snapping photos of them relentlessly.
The director had consistently kept the camera focused on them, only occasionally cutting Lenora, who was sitting below the stage.
With a warm smile, the emcee asked, “Now, I have a question to ask Ms. Carston on behalf of our audience. You mentioned earlier that Ms. Wilkin was sixteen when you first met her. Could you tell us where this first encounter took place?”
The emcee was informed about this question by the director through the in–ear monitor.
Susanna pursed her lips, casting a glance at Zachary beside her.
“Ms. Carston, it’s perfectly fine if you’re not inclined to answer. But I believe everyone here gets the picture. At least, I certainly do. And to all our viewers at home, have you caught on?”
Comments responding “yes” to the emcee’s question flooded in again, so overwhelmingly that it covered the entire screen.
The next question is for Mr. Fuller. When did you first meet Ms. Carston?”
Zachary paused for a moment before replying, “University.”
The emcee meaningfully responded, “Oh, so you two liave known each other for quite a while too.”
The live comments section exploded once again.
Though the two never made their relationship official, in the eyes of the online community, it was almost as if they had.
The couple worshippers of Zachary and Susanna were delighted, knowing their hopes had been rekindled.
The planning team was best at manipulating fans.

The emcee led the applause, expressing. “Thank you, Mr. Fuller and Ms. Carston. Please, both of you may now step down and take a break.”
The two of them stepped off the stage, one after another.
As Susanna was descending the stairs, Zachary turned around to lend her a hand.
The director had a keen eye for capturing the right moments, swiftly incorporating this scene into the live broadcast.
After the press conference concluded, all the special guests gathered on stage for a group photo.
One after another, everyone got up and made their way toward the stage, searching for their own place.
At the same time, there were still staff members bustling about, causing a bit of chaos on stage.

Zachary walked over, and apart from the two officials, everyone else made way for him and Susanna.
And so, in the group photo, they stood side by side at the center of the stage, in the most conspicuous spot.
Meanwhile, Lenora stood in the corner, where the light was dim, seeming like an outsider.
Later on, this group photo was posted on Twitter, triggering a frenzy among the couple fans of Zachary and Susanna: Just their position alone already speaks volumes. There’s no need for more explanation.
The press conference came to a close. Some guests started to exit, while others stayed behind for a final interview segment.
The reporters pursued Zachary, asking. “Mr. Fuller, are you and Ms. Carston currently in a romantic relationship?”
One would assume that he would seize this opportunity to confess, but surprisingly, he answered. “This is MQ’s product launch press conference, please focus on the product instead. It’s not appropriate to discuss my personal matters now. However, I’ll be more than happy to answer any questions related to finance and
economics.”
Although he declined to answer the question, his words didn’t come off as off–putting in the slightest.

Lenora didn’t schedule any follow–up interviews, instead, she busied herself with wrapping up alongside
the staff.
A reporter and a photographer from a media outlet approached her, intending to interview her. However, she declined their request.
They didn’t insist. After all, they had quite a fruitful haul from the press conference.
The popularity of MQ skyrocketed, with an exponential increase in search indices on Twitter and other social media platforms. Even after the press conference ended, it remained a trending topic for an entire day.
After wrapping things up, Lenora had the employees leave work early.
Up until that day, the promotional activities had passed a phase. Next, the product would be officially hitting the market, so they still couldn’t afford to let their guard down.
When Lenora exited the studio, she received a message from Zachary on WhatsApp: I’ll wait for you in the underground parking lot.
Upon seeing this message, Lenora raised an eyebrow.
She assumed Zachary had left with Susanna since she didn’t see him while she was wrapping things up carlier.
Others might not have noticed, but she did. She could tell that Zachary’s face had darkened when he was
on stage.
Among the wealthy scions, he was rather on the understated side.
Even though he had countless fans, he still hadn’t set up his own personal social media account.
As much as the online community berated him for his infidelity, he let them rant. He didn’t think there was a need to explain his personal life to them.
It was obvious the event planning team for the press conference earlier that day had treated Zachary like an idol, expecting him to partake in games and interactions like other celebrities did in variety shows to entertain fans. That was something Zachary, as the CEO of Fuller Group, simply couldn’t tolerate.
Moreover, he was not only asked to take part in the games once, but twice, and with two different ladies, both of whom were involved in scandalous rumors with him, no less..
The fact that he managed to suppress his anger on stage and complete those games was all out of respect for Lenora.
Lenora could imagine how furious Zachary was.
Nonetheless, it was something she had to face sooner or later. As such, she took the elevator down to the underground parking lot and headed toward where Zachary had directed her to.

Susanna’s always portrayed herself as vulnerable and kind in front of Zachary. She just nearly shot herself in the foot.
Then, Susanna’s voice rang out again. “Zack, I really can’t bear to part with you. Please don’t abandon me. I know I’ve wronged Lenora, but I truly can’t live without you. Every night. I dream of that day when I was dragged into a run–down van and thrown into a tiny dark room. They did things to me…”
As she spoke, she suddenly collapsed into Zachary’s arms and began to sob.
Zachary’s voice softened as he comforted Susanna, “It’s all in the past now. Don’t dwell on it anymore. I’ll call Ms. Wate and have her take you to the doctor.”
Upon hearing this, Lenora slightly furrowed her brows
