Aveline closed her eyes, preparing herself for the impending blow, but the imagined pain never materialized. When she opened her eyes again, all she saw was Alexander picking up the neatly folded smoke–grey suit and leaving the room, slamming the bedroom door shut with a deafening

Alone in the room, Aveline’s body felt weak, and she slumped to the ground. She had been so consumed with anger that her entire body was drenched in sweat, and even now, she was still trembling, unsure if it was from anger or fear.
The look in Alexander’s eyes just now was truly terrifying, and she thought she might not make it through the night. She had never scolded him like that before, and she was sure that no one else
would have done such a thing, either.
Aveline placed her hand on her chest, feeling her heart beating rapidly, still unable to calm down. A few minutes later, Auntie Helen hurriedly ran up and, seeing Aveline’s pale face, sighed helplessly, “Madam, what did you just do? I’ve never seen Young Master so angry before.”

part was true.
