She looked at the approaching person, wearing a leather jacket, leather pants, and a motorcycle helmet.
The pitch–black mask made it impossible to see anything clearly.
But she knew that he was staring at her.
“It was really useless, I had to clean up the mess.”
The man twisted his neck, and a muffled voice came out from his hat, which was unsettling.
He picked up the rusty water pipe from the ground and slowly approached Beatrice.
Beatrice pressed herself against the wall, her gaze falling onto the eagle emblem on his chest leather jacket.
It was him.

The man paused for a moment and asked, “Do you know me?”
Beatrice immediately averted her gaze, shook her head, and pleaded with a trembling voice, “I really don’t know anything, why doesn’t Ms. Melendez believe me?”
She couldn’t recognize, perhaps there was still a glimmer of hope.
The man laughed wildly and said, “Then you remember to seek her life.”
He swung the water hose and smashed it down.
Beatrice instinctively curled up her body, and almost simultaneously, the man in front of her crashed into the cabinet like a doll.
Rows of cabinets crashed to the ground, smashing the board that was blocking the window.
The moonlight cast through the broken window, elongating the figure of the person in front. Blood dripped from his fist, staining the ruby jade ring an even deeper shade of crimson.
It was Caden.
Take a good look at the newcomer, Beatrice bit her pale lips and collapsed against the wall.
At the moment of falling, the body was lifted up horizontally by someone.
The man with the helmet, upon seeing the situation, jumped out of the window and ran away.
Caden walked out of the swimming pool holding Beatrice, while Keith approached with a serious expression.
“Sara ran away. All the surrounding surveillance was deleted, indicating that she must have received the news in advance.”
The only ones who were able to react so promptly were the Melendez family.
Caden lowered his gaze and looked at the pale figure in his arms. Dressed in black from head to toe, he almost blended into the dark night. His handsome features exuded a chilling aura, and his ink–black eyes emitted a dangerous glimmer.
“The things were ready.”
“But Sir Baldwin…”
Keith looked up and met Caden’s gaze, immediately holding his breath and nodding.
Hospital.
When Beatrice woke up again, her vision was still blurry, but she could feel that she had been cleaned by the nurse.
She felt so reassured by the smell of disinfectant for the first time.
“Woke up, woke up.”
The moment she heard the sound, Beatrice’s pupils dilated, her blood froze for a few seconds, and then she abruptly sat up. The needle, still in the process of infusion, pierced the skin directly, leaving a trace of blood. “Ah! Are you crazy? Lie down quickly! Austin, come over and reinsert the needle for the patient!”
