People in the company thought Deborah was to find Elvis. So they were confused when she had a private conversation with Damion first.

Deborah asked herself over and over again whether she should ask. She had already come here. She would be a loser if she just went back, which she would be more unwilling to do.
“Could it be that Damion already knew Nola before? He’s not Elvis. How could he know what Elvis is thinking?” thought Deborah.
She was still not reconciled and didn’t like Damion’s answer. Deborah still wanted to try it, hoping Elvis would give her a different answer.
She took a deep breath and watched Damion leave without looking back. She turned around and walked towards Elvis‘ office. Approaching step by step, Deborah felt her heart tense up. She was so nervous the moment she knocked on the door that she dared to breathe, tightly grasping the document.
“Come in!” The concise words exuded a chill, which was Elvis‘ innate aura. Elvis had been like a god in Deborah’s heart since she knew him, who stood on the clouds, overlooking all living beings, and was unattainable.
She pushed the door open and saw Elvis keep his head down. His serious look made Deborah unable to take her eyes off him.
Elvis was always so fascinating. Deborah couldn’t think of anyone who was good enough for such a perfect man. She tried her best to make herself perfect, just wanting to stand by his side and hear others say they were a perfect match.
But now, that opportunity was getting farther and farther away from her. Thinking that Elvis had given all his tenderness to Nola, Deborah heard the unwillingness in her heart surging and screaming at her to be braver.
“Mr. Grayson, here is my new design plan.”
“Well! Put it here!” Elvis didn’t even look at her. Since it was about work, he didn’t care too much.
“Deborah, you don’t have to deliver documents yourself.” She always liked to deliver the documents herself. No department executive would do that in the company unless it was very important.
But Deborah did everything by herself. Elvis thought it was unnecessary. But it made Deborah think he didn’t want her to get tired and do errands by herself.

There was a brief silence. Elvis thought the design plan was the only thing. But Deborah stayed after delivering the documents. “Is she for the result?” thought Elvis.
“I’ll check it later!”
“Well, it’s okay.” But Deborah still stayed as if she was waiting for something.
Elvis frowned slightly, then looked up at her.
“Is there… anything more?”
Facing Elvis, she really didn’t know how to speak. And Elvis didn’t expect that Deborah would care about the rumor.
Deborah got herself together and told herself to be brave. Since she had come here, there was only one more step.
“Mr. Grayson, Something’s happening around in the company these days. I don’t know if you heard it.”
“Too calm is not a good thing.” Elvis put the cap on the pen. He got impatient seeing her hesitate to speak. He preferred others to get to the point rather than waste his time by hemming and hawing.

Elvis understood her intentions, but it made him a little unhappy to test him. Did she question him because of Nola?

“Spreading rumors about the boss?”
