She was elegant and dignified. The dress was slit to the thighs, and her slender legs were looming while walking. She was as graceful as a princess.
There was also a white fur shawl to go with the dress. Nola was fully dressed. She was stunning.
Nola walked out of the cloakroom slowly. She asked with a smile, “How do I look?” Elvis looked up and couldn’t take his eyes off the beautiful scenery in front of him. He even regretted buying the dress for her. He didn’t want other men to see his wife’s beauty.
He wanted to hide her at home, and only he could appreciate her beauty. How selfish!
He beckoned to her, and Nola walked over. He straightened her long hair and said sincerely, “You look astounding.”

“I’ll help you!” Elvis picked up the hairpin. It was decorated with diamonds and shining under the light. In front of the dressing table. Nola was in a daze. “Only you. When I was a kid, I saw my dad help my mom combing her hair every morning I opened my eyes. He always kissed her after that. I remembered it after watching it too many times
Nola raised her eyebrows slightly. Every time she saw her mother–in–law, she always tied her long hair with different hairpins. She was dignified and elegant, and her buns were also different. Elvis was cold and indifferent in public. When others came to greet him, he just nodded politely. Finally, Nola saw a few familiar faces in the crowd. Godwin’s smile made her feel a lot easier.
Janie was dressed in a playful little black dress, like an elf in the dark night. She stood beside Justus and waved at Nola. Nola felt much relieved.
They stood together and chatted. Everyone praised Nola for being so beautiful tonight. She was the most watched person at the party.
Leon smiled, “These people seem to be very interested in Nola.”
Godwin answered immediately, “After all, Elvis seldom attends events, let alone bring a female companion. I suppose they are guessing who Nola is.” Mr. Hadley, the mayor, and his assistant came over. He took the initiative to greet them.
“Mr. Grayson! It’s rare that you can attend the banquet tonight.”
