Lucas interrupted, annoyance creeping into his voice. “Are you trying to flaunt your wealth or show off your superiority to me, gorgeous?
Celine shook her head indifferently. “I have no need to flaunt my wealth, nor do I need to show off any superiority to someone like you.”
Lucas snorted.
Someone like me? What kind of person I am?
Celine went on. “I’m sharing my background because I have a question for you.”

Lucas started to stand up to leave.
