Chapter 30
Shawn [Allison, you’ve really crossed the line this time. Get to the hospital and apologize to Kate right away]
Shawn: If you don’t apologize, there’s no way I’m gonna forgive you. Just say sorry, and you can keep living in the house)
Allison let out a dry laugh, ignoring the message. She swiftly blocked and deleted Shawn from
her contacts.
At the hospital, Shawn glared at his phone screen, where a glaring red exclamation mark taunted him. His eyes were icy, and his usually charming face was shadowed with frustration.

Allison had actually gone and deleted him!
Shawn felt a twitch at his brow, and a wave of annoyance bubbled inside him. Allison had gotten bold and even decided to cut ties when she wanted.
Lying on the hospital bed, Kate noticed Shawn’s stormy expression and couldn’t help but ask,
“Shawn, what’s up?”
Shawn snapped back to reality, trying to calm his irritation, and replied shortly, “Nothing”
Kate didn’t push further. Her eyes were wide and vulnerable as she focused on Shawn. “Shawn, is my hand done for? Will I never play piano again?”
Kate had spent years studying piano and even attended a renowned music academy. Before coming back, she’d started a YouTube account that went viral and gained over a million followers. She had become a bit of an internet celebrity.
Shawn’s demeanor softened a bit, showing some sympathy and affection. “No, the doctor said it’s just a surface wound. It didn’t hit any tendons or bones. You’ll be alright in a few days.
Kate looked worried, almost on the verge of tears. “Really? You’re not just saying that to make me feel better, are you, Shawn?”
Shawn gently tousled her hair. “I’m not.”
Kate looked up, her eyes meeting Shawn’s with a hint of vulnerability. “Shawn, if–just if–my injury was worse and I couldn’t play the piano again, would you forgive Allison?”
Shawn’s eyes darkened, his voice firm and cold. “Even with your current injury, if she doesn’t apologize, I can’t forgive her. If it turned out you couldn’t play again, she’d have to answer for it.” Tears shimmered in Kate’s eyes as she rested her head against Shawn’s shoulder, whispering
softly, “Shawn, I knew you’d always be there for me.”
Shawn held Kate close, but his mind wandered to Allison. He wondered if he had been too hars when he said he never wanted to see her again at the house. But she had hurt Kate first. She was in the wrong. Deleting him was just her way of waiting for him to come around, but this time, he wasn’t going to.
Allison stepped into the hotel lobby and immediately spotted Joshua. He was dressed in a sleek black shirt and trousers, highlighting his broad shoulders, slim waist, and long legs. His features were sharp, with dark eyes and a striking handsomeness that hadn’t faded over the past three years,
Beside Joshua stood a man in a suit, shorter than him, who seemed to be his assistant.
Joshua quickly strode over, taking the suitcase from her hands. “Allie, are you alright?”
Allison pressed her lips together, replying softly, “Yeah, I’m good,”
“Mr. Fisher, I’ll head down now,” Joshua’s assistant said respectfully,
Joshua nodded.
The top–floor suite of the five–star hotel was lavish, with a stunning view, Standing by the floor–to–ceiling windows, you could see all of Havenbrook’s night skyline.
“Allie, do you want the upstairs or downstairs room?”
Being in the same room with such a strikingly handsome guy made Allison feel a bit flustered. “Uh, either one is fine.”
She thought she heard a soft chuckle and didn’t dare meet Joshua’s gaze,
His voice came low and gentle, “Then take the upstairs room. Let me know if you need anything,”
A blush crept up Allison’s cheeks, “Okay”
