At this time, Phoebe and Maddox had swum near the two children.

David watched anxiously, no longer having the impulse to jump down. He knew he wouldn’t make it in time if he did and just prayed that the two celebrities could safely bring the kids back.
He also understood why Phoebe had jumped into the reservoir–She had foreseen that the children would soon be in danger.
Now everyone else understood too why Phoebe would suddenly jump into the water when the kids were clearly safe.
The director wasn’t by the reservoir at the moment, but he had been watching the livestream the entire time.

Upon seeing Phoebe dive in, he knew something was definitely not right. Not only was Phoebe skilled in fortune–telling, but she was also proficient in other esoteric arts. His wife had once been saved from an accident thanks to a talisman given by Phoebe. Thus, he immediately called the head of the medical team they brought along, instructing them to rush over and prepare for any rescue efforts.
When he saw Maddox jump down, his expression changed drastically. ‘Why did he also go down? If something happened, me and the show would be over.‘
Fortunately, Phoebe and Maddox swam over quickly before anything bad happened. So when the children were swept away by the water, Phoebe just arrived and grabbed one. Maddox, though a few steps slower, grabbed the other.
After grabbing the children, they quickly swam toward the shore.
People on the shore all held their breath in tension, watching them swim over.
The director’s team, following the director’s instructions, quickly snapped a long branch from the surroundings.
Holding a child, Phoebe swam toward the shore as waves crashed around, threatening to sweep her away. Despite her good ́stamina and knack for using force efficiently, she managed to reach the shore, even as the current pushed her downstream.
After pushing the child onto the bank, she managed to grab the branch extended by the director’s team, preparing to pull herself up. Suddenly, a cry of surprise rang out, “Ah, Maddox!”
Phoebe turned to see Maddox beside her also pushing a child onto the shore. The water flowed even faster, and before he could grab the branch the staff was handing him, a sudden wave swept him away.
Without hesitation, Phoebe let go of the branch and swam toward him.
Seeing Phoebe abandon her own rescue and swim to save Maddox instead, most people on the shore couldn’t help wondering if she had gone mad.
The scene was also witnessed by Jamar and Reece, who had just arrived.
They searched all morning and finally found a family in need of help picking fruit. So they followed to the orchard and saw Phoebe running in one direction. Then they saw Maddox and others, one by one, chasing after her.
Thinking something had happened, they chased over, too. Upon arriving, they just saw Phoebe and Maddox rescuing two children from the reservoir. But before they could react, Phoebe gave up the chance to get ashore and turned to save
Maddox instead.
“Phoebe, Pheebs!” Jamar and Reece’s faces changed, and they instinctively ran towards the shore.

Seeing their intense reactions, Sienna frowned slightly, displeased to the extreme. She watched Maddox being swept away and even getting submerged underwater, and Phoebe directly dove into the water, also disappearing from sight.
She inwardly criticized Phoebe for being so foolish as to risk her life to save someone.
“The reservoir is releasing water. With such fierce and rapid currents, both of them were bound to be swept away. If Phoebe had drowned, that would have been good. So she wouldn’t steal favors and possessions from me anymore. Those who should never have lived belong in death, Sienna sneered inwardly.
But she didn’t show it on her face. Instead, she feigned a worried expression.
Meanwhile, seeing Maddox being pulled underwater, Phoebe swam down. The visibility underwater was poor at this time, but she still caught sight of Maddox.
Using the force of the water, she quickly swam to his front and grabbed his arm. However, the current was so strong that it swept her toward the reservoir gate, too.
She almost lost Maddox in the process. But she wasn’t panicked, trying hard to hold her breath.
First, she tightly grasped Maddox’s arm, using the force of the current to get closer to him. Then, as she was carried onto him, she quickly released his arm and wrapped hers around his waist. With all her strength, she swam toward the shore.
Maddox, though tightly closed his eyes, still had consciousness. He had originally thought that his impulsive act would cost him his life. Drifted farther by the currents, his leg cramped just when it mattered.
Unable to swim back for self–rescue, he swallowed a lot of water. Struggling to breathe, he felt on the verge of suffocating. Just as he thought he might drown, a hand suddenly grabbed his arm. Soon, he was held around the waist and pulled forward. Am I being rescued?‘ he wondered half–consciously.
He naturally didn’t want to die.
At this moment, the audience on the shore and in the livestream room were all staring without blinking. Everyone was so tense that they had forgotten to type comments.
Fans of Phoebe and Maddox kept praying, hoping they would be fine.
Even passersby and fans of others hoped that the two could be safe.
Although they prayed, with such a rapid current and a reservoir with a height of tens of feet, the chances of survival were slim if they were really swept down.
Only a few fans of Jamar, Sienna, and Reece couldn’t wait for the two to get into trouble.
Just as everyone thought that the two might have been swept away, Phoebe suddenly popped up from the water with Maddox in her arms, swimming toward the shore.
Those on the shore and in the livestream couldn’t help but cheer excitedly. And their fans were so excited they felt like crying.
Then came several heart–stopping moments. Phoebe swam toward the shore with Maddox but was quickly swept back by the current. She didn’t give up; instead, she kept swimming tirelessly.
Eventually, she managed to reach a spot close to the shore. When another strong current hit, she quickly grabbed a branch extended from the shore.
The person holding the other end of the branch promptly pulled both of them toward the shore with all his might.

They were swiftly pulled up onto the shore.
Most people present and watching the livestream breathed a sigh of relief.

As soon as she got ashore, Phoebe half–sat on the ground, gasping for breath. Although she had been consistently exercising, the ordeal had nearly exhausted her.
At the same time, Maddox was in a semi–conscious state.
Fortunately, the medical team had already arrived and quickly began emergency treatment.
Soon, he coughed up some water, gave a few strong coughs, and slowly opened his eyes. Turning his head, he saw Phoebe sitting beside him, half–reclining, looking at him. His eyes revealed a softness he had never shown before. ‘It was indeed her who had risked everything to save me,‘ he thought to himself.
