One of the bodyguards opened the door to the private room, motioning for Celine to enter. She nodded in thanks and stepped inside.
Lucas, without hesitation, followed right behind her as if it were the most natural thing to do.
“What are you doing? Stay outside!” Celine snapped at him.
Lucas remained unfazed. “I need to personally ensure your safety.”
He stressed the word ‘personally‘ with determination.
“There’s no need. It’s perfectly safe in here,” she replied, clearly annoyed.
“You never know,” Lucas countered, standing his ground.
“You-” Celine shot him an exasperated glare, feeling powerless against his stubbornness.
“Fine, but don’t say anything unnecessary,” she warned sharply, fully aware of his habit of speaking out of
turn.
Lucas merely smiled, leaving it unclear whether he intended to remain silent.
Inside the room, a breathtaking woman sat waiting, her beauty on par with Celine’s. She had a -mesmerizing face, and her eyes carried a seductive charm that could effortlessly draw people in.
Draped in an elegant oriental dress, her curvaceous figure was enough to stir excitement in any man.
If Celine embodied grace and refinement, then the woman before them was the epitome of allure, captivating anyone who laid eyes on her.
She was none other than Millie Lloyd, a well–known celebrity in the Daralian Kingdom.
Her rise to fame began with a singing competition, but she truly made a name for herself after playing the villainous enchantress in a fantasy drama.
Thanks to her stunning looks and natural allure, her character ended up outshining the show’s lead actress, winning over countless male fans. From that moment on, her career skyrocketed.
Lucas hadn’t expected Celine’s business meeting to involve such a high–profile star.
This trip had suddenly become much more interesting.
“Ms. Lloyd, I apologize for the wait,” Celine greeted with an unusually warm smile.
Millie stood up and extended a hand. “Not at all, I just arrived. Please, have a seat, Ms. Xavier.”
Both women radiated beauty and charm, making for an eye–catching sight.
As Millie rose, the intricate design of her dress accentuated her curves, giving off an intoxicating allure that could drive any man wild.

Yet, surprisingly, Lucas, who usually couldn’t resist admiring a beautiful woman, barely spared her a second glance.
Celine had been discreetly observing him. Noticing his lack of interest, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
At least he knew how to behave and wasn’t ogling Millic like a fool.
She had gone to great lengths to secure Millic as the face of CEL Cosmetics‘ newest product. If Lucas ruined the deal, she’d have no problem strangling him.
“Ms. Xavier, who is this?” Millie’s gaze shifted to Lucas, her brows slightly furrowing.
“Oh, just my driver,” Celine answered nonchalantly, treating him as insignificant.
“Your driver?” Millie’s frown deepened, showing a hint of disapproval in her voice. “Ms. Xavier, this is a business meeting. Should he be here?”
Celine turned to look at Lucas, who had already made himself comfortable on the couch, showing no intention of leaving.
She shot him a furious glare before sighing and turning back to Millie. “Let’s focus on our discussion. Just pretend he’s not here.”
Millie hesitated for a moment, surprised by how tolerant Celine was toward a mere driver. But after a brief pause, she simply said, “Alright.”
With that, the two women exchanged pleasantries before diving into business, discussing the terms of the endorsement.
Despite Celine offering generous conditions, Millie refrained from giving a definitive response, keeping her stance deliberately vague.
Lucas remained silent, watching Millie with an unreadable expression. It was clear she had her purpose- deliberately stalling without outright rejecting or accepting the deal.
“Ms. Lloyd, is there something that doesn’t meet your expectations? The endorsement fee? Or is there another concern?” Celine finally asked, puzzled by Millie’s hesitation.
Millie smiled charmingly before responding unexpectedly, “Ms. Xavier, I must say–you’re truly stunning. It’s almost unfair.”
