Clark froze in place.
Reese turned abruptly and saw the handsome face of Lukas up close.
She was so shocked that she couldn’t even speak, and all she could hear was Lukas’s enchanting voice.
Lukas raised an eyebrow and looked at her with indifference. “What’s wrong? Do you like what you see?”
Reese immediately snapped out of it, her voice lowered a few degrees. “N–no…Why…What are you doing
here?”
With Lukas, she folded instantly, completely losing the arrogance and domineering attitude she had displayed in front of Clark just a second ago.
Lukas chuckled, finding her reaction amusing. “Can’t I come?”
Reese puffed up her cheeks, unable to refute.
Clark looked at Lukas, completely dumbfounded. His face changed repeatedly, and after struggling for a long time, he managed to force out a sentence, “Mr. Strakovski, why are you here?”
Lukas raised his eyes, his voice cold, “I heard that you want to sue our Strakovski Jewelry’s designer. How
could I not come?”
Clark awkwardly laughed, his expression stiff. “How could that be…Reese… She…She’s clearly a designer for Trifleming…”
Before Clark could finish his words, Lukas mercilessly interrupted, “From this moment on, she is
Strakovski’s designer!”
Clark wanted to argue further, “But she…”
Lukas’s expression turned cold, a little impatient, “I said she is!”
Clark’s expression became extremely ugly. He glanced at Reese, who was standing beside Lukas, and clearly saw a gloating look in her eyes.
In that instant, he understood everything. He fell into this situation all because Reese schemed. She and Lukas had known each other for quite some time now!
Lukas didn’t intend to waste time here. He has originally come to pick her up, afraid that once Reese’s act
would be over, Clark would do something to cause more trouble.

After all, he was fiercely protective of his people, especially her. He didn’t want anyone to harm her in
any way.
He looked at Reese, his expression intense. “When do you plan to leave for Strakovski?” He asked.
Reese’s eyes flickered, “Tomorrow, I suppose,” she replied.
Lukas nodded, his determination evident. “Can we leave now?” he asked.
Reese hurriedly nodded and quickly followed Lukas.
Seeing them about to leave, Clark couldn’t help but shout. “Reese!”
Reese’s steps paused for a moment. She breathes deeply, gathering her strength to look at Clark, and slowly turned around.
Lukas’s expression remained calm, and he stood quietly in place, not intending to turn around or interfere in their conversation.
Clark stared at Reese with a gloomy expression, his emotions swirling. “You planned everything that happened today, right?” he asked, trying to make sense of the situation.
Reese pressed her tongue against her cheek, and then a slow, calculating smile crossed her face. “Yes! Of course! Can’t you see it all? Why even ask?”
Although everything was now clear for Clark, he still couldn’t believe that Reese, who had always been obedient and loving towards him, could actually orchestrate such a scheme.
He struggled with mixed emotions – anger, unwillingness, and bitterness – all intertwined.
His voice sounded hoarse as he roared the next words angrily at Reese. “You loved me, right? So why would you do this?”
Reese heard what seemed like a big joke and couldn’t help but burst out laughing. “Love? Ha! Clark! I did
love you, but how dare you say such words! Over these two years, where do I even stand in our
relationship? Every time you used my design drafts to praise Alexa, did you see me? Every time you had fun with Alexa, did you remember me? When you and Alexa went to the Civil Affairs Bureau to register your marriage, did you even think of me? I wasted two years, two fucking years of loving you! How could you do this to me?!”
Reese’s words poured out with raw emotion, her voice trembling with hurt and anger. The weight of betrayal and deceit had finally surfaced, and she couldn’t hold back her pent–up emotions any longer.
Reese’s eyes turned red with tears falling, crying for her youth over the past two years that were wasted.
If it were merely a heartbreak, she could have endured it, but it wasn’t just heartbreak. What she felt was

the emotional and psychological damage that Clark and Alexa caused through their deception. They had not only hurt her but made her feel disgusted and used for two years.
“I…” Clark knew he was in the wrong, and seeing Lukas standing firmly beside Reese made him realize that he couldn’t do anything to her.
He could only soften his tone, “Reese, it’s my fault. I’m very, very sorry, Let’s talk about this behind closed doors as a family, alright?”
Before Reese could say anything, Lukas audibly sneered. “Tamily…” He chimed.
