“Celeste, you’ve killed Mom! Come to the Hartley Villa immediately,” came Fiona’s arrogant voice.
Celeste jolted awake as soon as she heard that Nora was in trouble.
She sat up, her voice cold. “What did you say?”

“Hmph! Celeste, stop pretending. Your ambition is huge. Not only did you try to take Mom’s shares, but you also made her fall into a coma. After she took your medicine, she won’t wake up. And now the share transfer document is missing. Get over here right now,” Fiona said.
Celeste frowned. She had already refused Nora’s offer, so why had this happened?
Only four people knew about what happened that day.
Fiona had always coveted Nora’s shares. Now that the transfer document was missing, it had something to do with Fiona.
“I’m coming right now,” Celeste said. She hung up the phone and called Finnegan.
“Ms. Hartley,” Finnegan answered.
“Finnegan, take some people to the Rowe Villa and investigate.

the situation with Nora’s shares. Move quickly. Look into the people around Mrs. Rowe and Nathaniel. Keep a close watch on the stock market. If their shares increase by fifteen percent, control the situation immediately. Make sure no one discovers your identity. Move fast,” she instructed.
“Yes, Ms. Hartley,” Finnegan replied.
Celeste hung up the phone and then thought about the unconscious Nora. She sent a message to Rebecca, instructing her to head out quietly.
She quickly got up, washed, and prepared a few things before instructing Briar to get the car ready.
Twenty minutes later, Celeste and Briar stepped through the gates of the Rowe Villa.
Celeste looked at the familiar villa. She had thought she would never step foot here again, but just days later, here she

And to enter under such circumstances. A cold glint flashed in her eyes. Someone was framing her, and this time, she wouldn’t tolerate it.
She quickly entered the hall. Inside were Nathaniel and Fiona, with a servant kneeling on the floor.
Fiona saw that Celeste had foolishly delivered herself to their door. A wicked smile crossed her face.

Celeste looked at Nathaniel across the room. His gaze was cold, like a knife cutting into her.
Celeste’s heart ached, making it difficult for her to breathe.
She knew he wouldn’t believe her, but she still held onto a sliver of hope.
“Celeste, why did you do this to Grandma?” Nathaniel roared, his eyes bloodshot and filled with murderous intent.
“She dares to harm Grandma.
How could she? How could she… Grandma loves her so much. How could she do this?”
Celeste’s heart throbbed with pain. He was actually so sure that it was her?
“Nathaniel, I didn’t do this. Don’t think you can frame me,” she said.
She knew Nathaniel wouldn’t believe her. Once he decided something, he was nearly impossible to change.
“You still deny it? Morgan already confessed. You paid her two million dollars to give you the share transfer document. You also tampered with Grandma’s medicine. Celeste, you deserve to die,” he said.
Nathaniel’s
eyes were red with anger. He didn’t want to believe she had done it, but the evidence was right in front of him.

Combined with her heartless betrayal a few months ago, he had no choice but to believe that the woman he loved was venomous.
“Smack…” Nathaniel slapped Celeste hard.
Celeste was stunned. The slap was so heavy that it caused temporary ringing in her ears. She couldn’t hear anything around her.
Tears fell uncontrollably from her eyes. She suppressed the pain in her heart and looked up at the merciless man.
This wasn’t the first time Nathaniel had hit her. A few months ago, he had returned with Madelynn. He had been drinking that night and was in a lot of pain. He kept asking her why, but she didn’t understand. When he said he wanted a divorce and she refused, he slapped her.
“Boss!” Briar yelled in anger as she realized what had happened. She rushed toward Nathaniel.
