Chapter 11
Marina’s POV.
I stood before Alpha Luther, his piercing eyes cutting through me like icy daggers.
With that cold glare?
“Alpha…” I tried to
something, but the look on his face restricted my airflow.
I swallowed saliva instead.
The atmosphere in the
room seemed to tense up as if the air itself had thickened.
I tried to brighten my vision by shifting just my eyes, but the room was still dark.
His being there had made a main light a lonely lamp by the corner of the room, casting shadows that danced across the stone walls, emphasizing the uneasy situation.
Alpha Luther’s expression remained stoic.
He had his gaze on me the entire time, but his face did not reveal any hint of emotion as he scrutinized me.
I looked away several times, but I could still feel the weight of his gaze. Something like an imaginary force made her knees weak every time I thought about it.
I swallowed hard again; this time, fear crawled up my spine, and I was struggling to maintain composure in the face of his unimpressed demeanor.
After a long time of unending silence, he finally spoke.
“Marina,”
His voice was low and authoritative.
“You have betrayed my trust twice and seem to be enjoying it. It is like you want to make a fool out of me.”
My throat tightened.
I didn’t know if what I would say would further offend him or not.
I couldn’t take chances.
“Alpha, “I“—my chin trembled. I was unable to find my voice. I suddenly sensed that if I tried to speak further, it would worsen.
The gravity of my actions was too big to handle. Bringing me here was not enough; more consequences awaited me from the look on his face.
“I cannot let such disobedience go unpunished,” Luther continued, his tone unwavering.
“You will be confined to the cold, dark basement until you learn to respect me as the leader of this pack. I am the highest in the hierarchy of this pack.”
My eyes widened in horror.
Judging from the look around the basement, I could tell that a lot of people had been there, and surely they must have been part of the notorious pack members.
This was a torture room.
A place reserved for those who had committed the gravest offenses.
Chains that he had bonded me with earlier still ached my wrist.
Its cold grip on me sent shivers down my spine.
This was not meant for a girl like me; I would surely die here.
The mere mention of such a fate made my eyes wet again.
“Please, Alpha Luther, have mercy,” I pleaded. I finally found my voice, but it was trembling. “I–I didn’t mean to insult you, Alpha; that was my first time.”
Luther’s expression remained unyielding. “Mercy is earned, not given freely. If you wish to be forgiven, you must be willing to right your wrongs.”

Desperation welled up within me “I’ll do anything, Alpha. Just give me a chance to redeem myself.”
A sinister glint flickered in Luther’s eyes as he leaned closer, his imposing figure casting a shadow over me. “Anything, you say? To prove yourself and make sure you never repeat that nonsense.”
I hesitated, uncertainty gently clouding my facial features.
Anything.
Anything except what my mind was telling me he would say.
“Yes, anything,” I whispered, a sinking feeling settling in my stomach.
A cold smile played on Luther’s lips. “Then there’s only one way to redeem yourself fully. You must make a sacrifice.
My words seemed to have lightened his mood.
Dread gripped me as I awaited his command. Luther’s words hung in the air, a heavy silence falling between us.
“You must share a bed with me. This time you will impress me,” he declared, his voice sending a chill down my spine.
Gosh.
I thought about it.
My eyes widened in shock, and my heart pounded in my chest.
I felt uneasy.
His proposition was beyond my worst fears. Honestly, I wanted to sleep with my mate, and realizing that he was not my mate, I was not sure I wanted to.
Yet, my alternative–a life in this cold, dark basement with chains–seemed even more unbearable.
“When would you want me to…” I stammered, unable to finish the sentence.
Luther nodded, his gaze unyielding. “I like the sound of that. If only you had acted this way before.”
Tears welled up in my eyes, but I swallowed my little pride and nodded in reluctant agreement. “I’ll do it, Alpha Luther. I’ll make the sacrifice for the pack.”
A sinister smile crossed Luther’s face as he stepped back, his eyes never leaving mine.
“If you do so, then I will give you a good life. You will be the greatest plaything in the history of playthings, I assure you. Are you ready?”
I nodded.
My stomach knotted tight. I felt a little uneasy.
Luther watched me the whole time and then rose to his feet.
“Come,” he said, stretching his hand to me and showing me a big, bright smile.
As I left the room, I felt a bitter feeling in my gut.
I was now a prostitute.
Plaything was a new word I had learned–a nice name for a sex slave.
How wonderful life had turned out for me!
“Alpha“. I called.
He was leading me back to his bedroom. He stopped for a second to look at me,
“Yes.
I hesitated.
“Alpha, can I please ask for a favor?“. I begged. He continued walking; his steps were confident and daring. I was afraid to go
We got into his room, and he locked the door. He asked me to sit on the bed and get into the bathroom.

He opened the door to his bathroom and took his shirt off.
Seeing how perfectly carved his boys were, my heart began skipping.
He washed his face and came back with his pants alone.
“What were you saying?”
