“Where did this come from?” Reese’s voice was filled with suppressed anger.
The photo that Ricardo sent to Reese was a thick, yellowed envelope with the words “To My Darling Reese” written on it.
Reese would never admit a mistake. It was her mother, Gemma’s handwriting, and her mother had never written a letter to her during her lifetime.
Seeing this yellowed envelope, it could only mean that her mother left her a letter before her passing.
Unfortunately, this letter was intercepted by Ricardo.
And now, the letter was now in Ricardo’s hands.
Reese was furious beyond measure. She couldn’t believe that Ricardo would be so shameless as to intercept the letter her mother especially wrote to her.

Ricardo didn’t intend to deceive Reese about the source of the letter.
“You are shameless! How could you do this? You are invading other people’s privacy!” Reese’s hands trembled with anger. She found it hard to believe that this man was her father.
Ricardo chuckled lightly and remained unbothered, “You get angry so easily, after all, you’re just a child.”
“Give me my letter back!” Reese demanded in a harsh tone.
Ricardo sneered, “Sure, I can give it back to you, but you have to bring Alexa into Strakovski Jewelry.”
“That’s impossible,” Reese rejected without hesitation.
Ricardo’s voice turned cold, “Since it’s impossible, then I’ll burn this letter. You’ll never know what’s written in it for the rest of your life.”
Reese’s face turned extremely ugly, “You violated my privacy. Aren’t you afraid of me suing you?”

Ricardo didn’t care at all. “If you want to sue, go ahead. Reese, do you really think I’m afraid? Let me tell you this if you dare to sue me, I will burn the letter before the court date,”
“You might not know this, but in this letter, your mother wrote about the biggest secret of her life. She wanted to tell you before she died, but she didn’t have the courage to do it in person. So, she could only let you know through this letter. However, she never expected that the letter would end up in my hands.”
Reese had never felt so stifled before. She was angry to the extreme but couldn’t express it.
She admitted that she was afraid of Ricardo destroying the letter.
In her entire life, her mother, Gemma, had been the best to her, and she loved her very much.
Her mother had passed away but left her a letter before she did, and now the letter meant for her had fallen into someone else’s hands. She couldn’t accept this fact.
Suppressing her anger, she asked, “Dad, can we change the condition to something else?”
Knowing Lukas’s personality, he wouldn’t agree to let Alexa join Strakovski Jewelry.
But Ricardo remained stubborn, “Impossible, Reese. I hope you can persuade Lukas to consider this as a wedding gift for Alexa. I don’t care how you do it; I only care about the result. Only when Alexa joins Strakovski Jewelry, I will give you the letter!”
After stating his terms, Ricardo didn’t give Reese a chance to respond and hung up the phone.
Reese stared at her phone, her eyes red with anger. She desperately wanted to know what her mother
had written in the letter.

Ava had just started working, and after reporting, she went to find Reese. Seeing her distressed
appearance, she was almost startled. “Reese, are you okay?” She asked, her voice has a hint of concern for
her best friend.
Reese shook her head, “It’s all right, I’m fine.”
Ava frowned, “You don’t look fine at all with that expression.”
Reese didn’t want to talk about the letter, so she briefly mentioned the incident of her design draft being swapped.
Ava became angry, “Who would do such a despicable thing?”
Reese shook her head, “I don’t know. Don’t be angry; Lukas is investigating it, and I believe we’ll have
results soon.”
As soon as Reese finished speaking, she saw Martins come to the design department.
Martins looked at Reese, “Ms. Roberts, please come with me.”
Reese nodded and asked Ava to return to the Information Technology Department first. She got up and followed Martins outside.
The people in the design department were puzzled and exchanged glances with each other.
Gwendolyn King, who was beside Victoria, frowned. Could something have gone wrong?
Reese walked out with Martins and entered a separate small meeting room next to them.
Natalia Nesbitt, the receptionist, was waiting inside and looked extremely uneasy.
Reese immediately understood that Martins wanted her to confront Natalia directly.
She whispered, “Mr. Parker, this matter has something to do with Natalia.”
Martins shook his head, “I don’t know. The surveillance video of that time was tampered with. Lukas said your design draft was swapped, and it was done by someone within the company.”
Reese’s face darkened, and she approached Natalia.
Before she could speak, Natalia seemed as if she were about to cry. “Ms. Roberts, it really has nothing to do with me. I went to the restroom at that time, and I had no idea what happened. Mr. Parker said the surveillance was malfunctioning. Someone must have swapped the design draft, but I had no clue that there was a problem with the design draft. After I came back from the restroom, I sent the design draft.” She said as she blinks with fake tears brimming in her eyes.

After all, she went to the restroom when the surveillance was tampered with. Without concrete evidence, no one dared to say that it was her doing.
She appeared flustered and pitiful on the surface, but her heart was calm.
After listening to Natalia’s explanation, Reese turned to look at Martins, “Mr. Parker, can’t the surveillance be restored?” She asked.
Martins felt somewhat helpless; he had already tried, but the technology had limitations.
He shook his head, “The people from the Information Technology department tried to restore it yesterday, but it didn’t work.” He said, feeling hopeless.
Reese’s eyes flickered, “Then go and find Ava; she might be able to restore it.” She said.
