Chapter 83
Lukas’s expression became even uglier. He felt a fire burning in his heart, as no one had ever made him lose his composure like this before.
Reese had said all sorts of things, making him seem like he was acting unreasonably. It felt awful.
He replied with emotion in his voice, “Do whatever you want.”
Reese looked at him and said, “Mr. Strakovski, do you still have something to discuss? If not, I’ll go upstairs and rest.”
Lukas gazed steadily, “You can sleep wherever you want, but have you forgotten the agreement we made when we got married?”
Reese’s face slightly changed, and she stared at Lukas, her voice tense, “If Mr. Strakovski wants me to fulfill the duties of a wife, you can call me to the master bedroom or come to the guest room.”
Lukas sneered inwardly. She wanted to handle even such matters formally.
His tone turned icy, “You said it yourself.”
Reese remained composed, looking at him calmly, “Yes, I did.”
Lukas was furious and coldly snorted before turning to walk upstairs.
Reese’s eyes flickered. She stood there silently for a few seconds before also going upstairs.
Once Reese reached upstairs, she found that Lukas had already entered the bathroom.
She quickly packed her belongings and went to the guest room.
When Lukas finished his shower and came out, he noticed that Reese’s things were all gone.
The magazines and clothes that were on the bedside table and wardrobe had all disappeared.
Lukas’s face turned extremely ugly. He never expected that this woman was so determined to defy him.
Just a moment ago, he told himself that he was merely possessive of Reese. He knew he was always domineering and arrogant, and after marrying Reese, he naturally considered her as part of his territory, which fueled his desire to control her.
But that was all there was to it, nothing more.

Of course, he needed to control his attitude towards Reese, but it was just a momentary arrogance after marrying her. They only had a one year marriage contract, and he shouldn’t deviate from his original
intentions
He had already adjusted his mood, but unexpectedly, as soon as he stepped out of the bathroom. Reese provoked him again.
With a dark expression, he went to the guest room.
The guest room door was locked, and Lukas knocked on the door with a stern face.
After a while, Reese finally opened the door.
Reese was wrapped in a bathrobe, with water dripping from her hair. It seemed that she had just finished showering.
Lukas’s gaze was heavy and dark. Did she think of him as a gentleman, or did she not care if he had his
way with her?
Seeing Lukas not saying anything. Reese couldn’t help but wipe the water off her face with her hand. “Mr. Strakovski, do you need anything?”
Lukas felt displeased with her attitude. “I told you not to call me Mr. Strakovski at home. I don’t want to
feel like I’m at work here.”
Reese was taken aback and tightened her bathrobe. “Then, Mr. Strakovski, do you need something?”
Lukas reached out and pushed the door open. “I’m just going to get my own things.”
Reese suddenly understood that he came here to get his belongings because she had taken everything that belonged to her from the master bedroom.
She nodded and stood quietly, waiting for Lukas to collect his things.
Seeing Reese in her current state made Lukas’s breathing a bit heavier.
He awkwardly averted his gaze and quickly packed his belongings.
He didn’t have much stuff, just a book and two pieces of clothing.
After packing, he saw Reese standing there with a cold expression.
Lukas’s mood inexplicably worsened. He didn’t even know how to vent this frustration and irri
He knew that Reese’s current demeanor was probably due to their conversation downstairs.

Lukas picked up his belongings, turned to face Reese, and said calmly, “I think you misunderstood what I meant downstairs. I was asking you to explain your relationship with James.”
Reese’s eyes flickered. It seemed that she had misinterpreted the topic earlier.
She looked at Lukas and said, “I can explain what happened this afternoon.”
Before she could finish her words, Lukas quickly interrupted, “What I meant was, Cole is your senior, and it doesn’t matter. Anthony is your friend, and that’s also fine. Those have nothing to do with me. But
Reese, you need to understand one thing.”
“When you married me, it’s equivalent to taking a stance. James and I are arch–enemies, so you better keep your distance from him. Don’t blame me for not warning you if something happens in the future.” Lukas’s tone suddenly turned harsh.
Reese’s face slightly changed. Her lips moved, and finally, she spoke, “Okay, I’ll stay away from him in the
future.”
Lukas’s gaze darkened, and he looked steadily at Reese. “You better do your best. Of course, I have no intention of controlling your social circle. However, when I mentioned Cole and Anthony before, your reaction was too intense. You were eager to defend yourself, which made me think you were trying to catch my attention.”
Reese’s face stiffened. Why was this person so narcissistic?
Couldn’t she feel aggrieved when she felt slandered and wanted to clarify things for herself?
Lukas ignored her reaction and continued, “If you really have such thoughts, let me advise you to give up on them. Even if you have dinner with eight hundred men a day, it has nothing to do with me.”
