Tim hugged her.“Shall we head back to the room?”

She’d changed her surname years ago, cutting ties with the Lin family. They were irrelevant to her. She didn’t care about them anymore. She was focused on something else entirely. She’d suspected the Lin family might relocate to the capital city when she heard Tanya’s uncle, a Sun family member, was buying property in her grandmother’s villa neighborhood. Usually, Chase’s trips didn’t stop Sam from visiting Tanya. It was the weekend, and Sam calling *her instead of Tanya meant Tanya was probably busy. Grandma Lin and the rest of the family were in town. With Chase away, Tanya wouldn’t have time for her.
