Tim’s smile faltered upon recognizing him.“Mr. He.”

Unlike Zark, he only greeted Tim.“Mr.
Reed.” Then Tim’s smile thinned even further.“Mr. Ren. My apologies, I didn’t see you there.” Ren Jifeng noticed Tim’s considerably cooler demeanor compared to their last encounter. He wasn’t surprised. He knew Ashley would have whispered sweet nothings in Tim’s ear about their earlier conflict.
Ignoring Tim’s less–than–warm reception, he said, “I visited Longmo a few days ago. I hope you’re aware.”
“Aware, Ashley told me,” Tim said smoothly.“I’ve reviewed your proposal, Mr. Ren. It’s excellent, but… personally, I’m not keen. So, I’m sorry, but the collaboration… I’m afraid…” Ren Jifeng was stunned. Tim was letting Ashley cloud his judgment.
