Ashley replied flatly, “Soon.”
Chase chuckled.“About ten days?”
Ashley hesitated.“…roughly.”
Even though they were divorcing, and even though she didn’t have custody of Sam, she still felt a mother’s responsibility. She planned to spend a day with Sam each month. Ten days was about a month.
“Good.”
The conversation seemed to have reached its end. There wasn’t much left to say between them. She glanced at him, signaling for him to let go.
