Chapter 342
Rong Xun and Rong Yunhe asked Dan Dan if she wanted to try the water slide. Eyes lighting up at the sight of the colorful slides, she readily agreed. The slides were indoors, in a heated pool, so even in the cold weather, it was comfortable. Adults could use them, but they were mostly frequented by kids and teens.
Ashley and Zark tried the slides a few times before losing interest. Dan Dan, Rong Xun, and Rong Yunhe, however, were having a blast.
Ashley sat by the side, enjoying the warmth of the pool. Zark brought her a drink.
“Thank you,” she said, accepting it.

your siblings?”
“Xun is sixteen, Yunhe is fourteen.”
“Do you often bring them out?”
Ashley shook her head.“I used to, but I’ve been busy lately.”
Zark’s phone
rang
He answered calmly, “Chase.”
Chase asked, “Where are you?”
“On a yacht.”
“At sea?”
“Yes.” Zark glanced at Ashley.“Is something wrong?”
Chase said, “Sam wants to play with Dan Dan. I thought I’d check in.”
“The boat’s at sea. Next time.”
“Okay.” Chase hung up.
They enjoyed a seafood lunch together. In the afternoon, they basked in the sun and fished. Dan Dan, Rong Xun, and Rong Yunhe, exhausted from playing, fell asleep on their lounge chairs. Zark took several calls. Returning, he saw Ashley reading. He recognized the book; he’d seen Chase reading it often.
Ashley was so absorbed in her reading that she didn’t notice him until Dan Dan’s blanket blew off and she saw him cover her.
Zark sat down.“You… read this often, too?” The use of “too” clearly indicated he was referring to Chase.
