Zark nodded, his gaze lingering on Ashley.“See you next time.”
“See you,” Ashley replied, driving away without hesitation.
Back at the Mond family home, Rong Yunhe gossiped with their grandmother about the day’s events. Learning that Ashley had spent the day with Zark, the grandmother was surprised. Zark and Chase were childhood friends, and Ashley hadn’t known Zark well before. Why now? Steve commented, “That explains why the Hes suddenly approached me for a collaboration, and why Zark’s been so friendly to me lately…”
