Chase and Tanya were there, but Zark’s gaze fell on Ashley. Noticing she didn’t care, he smiled. faintly. “I’ll go over there for a moment.”
Ashley and Tim nodded.
Zark had only spoken to Chase and Tanya for a couple of minutes when Jeffery arrived. Seeing Tanya, he instinctively went towards her.
Tanya smiled lightly.“Mr. Cooper.”
“Miss Mood, it’s good to see you here.”
Jeffery was also busy lately, and he hadn’t seen Tanya in a while. He found her even more attractive. Finally, he took his eyes off her and greeted Zark and Chase. Eternal was a crucial partner for Cooper Corporation. After a brief conversation with Zark, Jeffery approached Tim, greeting him. Jeffery knew they wanted to avoid him. He wanted a good relationship with Tim, but he hadn’t been given the chance. Clearly, Tim disliked him.
Jeffery pursed his lips, feeling frustrated but unable to say anything. He watched them leave. A moment later, his gaze fell on Tanya. Realizing she wasn’t with Chase, he approached her.
Tanya smiled faintly.“Mr. Cooper.”
Jeffery nodded, looking at Leo, who was talking to her.“This is…?”
Tanya introduced Leo and said, “He’s my teacher now. I’ve been learning from him, and I’ve gained a lot.”
Tanya had previously mentioned wanting to be Burke’s student, and her dedication impressed Jeffery. He admired her perseverance.
He stepped back.“I’ll leave you to it.”
Tanya nodded, continuing her conversation with Leo. Jeffery found it hard to look her focused face. Someone greeted him, and he moved on.

Later, on his way to the restroom, he saw Ashley and Chase. He stopped abruptly, the image of Ashley in Chase’s arms a couple of months ago flashing through his mind. Before he could react, he saw Chase offer Ashley a piece of cake.
Jeffery watched, pursed his lips, and approached them. Ashley didn’t take it. When he got Chase saw him and turned.“Mr. Cooper.”
