Sherry was surprised. “Another one? Too much sugar? But I followed Ashley’s instructions…”
“I don’t know.” Justin said.
She made another cup of coffee. This time, Chase didn’t taste it; he just smelled it and put it down. He asked, “What’s going on?”
“Sherry might be too nervous…”
Chase frowned.“Sherry? Where’s Ashley?”
Justin was a bit surprised. “Ashley quit. You… didn’t know?”
Chase didn’t speak. He didn’t know. He knew Justin wanted to fire her because of her work attitude. But
when did she leave?”
“Last Thursday.”
“Okay.” She’d left, but she might return.

“Take it away. Get me some warm water.
At noon, Tim went to a business lunch. Ashley ate in the company cafeteria. Her colleagues were polite but not friendly. She didn’t mind. At 5 pm, she went to Charlie. I’m done. Check it out.
