Chapter85
In Yonnie’s eyes, Ashley was simply jealous of Tanya’s success with Chase, hence the interference with Tanya’s job at Eternal. Ashley, lacking skills and education, resorted to petty tactics. Yonnie found her pathetic. And likely, Chase felt the same way. Ashley, however, was blissfully unaware, probably still basking in her perceived victory over Tanya. Comparing Tanya’s brilliance with Ashley’s actions, Yonnie found them incomparable. Mark sighed. “I know.” He agreed with Yonnie’s assessment.“But she wouldn’t listen.” She really is…” Yonnie trailed off.“Just as stubborn as her mother.” She didn’t finish the thought; conversations about Ashley’s mother were rarely pleasant.
“Regarding SLAM…”
“Let’s ask Tanya when she gets back.” Mark was equally invested in the matter. They’d poured significant money into VR over the years, but their products lacked cutting–edge technology, hindering their progress. Eternal, on the other hand, thrived on SLAM, generating millions. annually without much effort. Their envy was palpable. If they could acquire SLAM’s core technology, integrating it into their projects, their company would skyrocket, potentially achieving a billion–dollar valuation.
Just then, Tanya arrived. She greeted her father and aunt.
“Tanya’s back?” Yonnie’s face lit up, her affection and admiration for Tanya evident. Tanya nodded, settling down.“What were you discussing?”
“Still about SLAM,” Mark said.“Since you couldn’t join Eternal, what are your plans? Did Chase say anything?”
