“Mr. An.” They greeted him. They only had two tickets, but because of the banquet incident, many people knew about Tanya and Chase. Mr. An, wanting to get closer to Chase, sent them an extra ticket after learning they needed one.
Mr. An chatted briefly with them, and more people approached. Their group grew, attracting
attention.
Ashley’s group was noticed by Mr. Quark, who said, “The Lins are here. Mrs. Sterling and Chase have a close relationship; everyone’s trying to connect with them.” He seemed disdainful.
Tim knew about the banquet incident. Seeing Mr. Quark’s disdain for Tanya, he asked, “Do you have a conflict with the Lins?”
Mr. Quark shook his head, “Not really… Ethan, the girl who argued with Mrs. Sterling, is my old friend’s son. He’s impulsive but not unreasonable.”
“His fiancé, Lan, was close to another girl, almost leading to a breakup. But then, that girl me Chase, and Lan stopped seeing her…”
Mr. Quark implied that Tanya had interfered in Ethan’s relationship, then left after findin someone better. But his anger was about the banquet incident.
He sighed, “My friend and Ethan were coming, but because of last night’s incident and the onlin comments about Ethan, they didn’t come…” Many people tried to connect with the Monds afte learning about their relationship with Chase.
