“Kill me, please!!” the man tied on the chair begged Robert.
Robert went near him and kept his hand on his chin, the grip must be rather tight because he winced in pain. Robert made him look towards him.
“Gotta cut your tongue, I see,” he said. My eyes widened in fear, and I took two steps back. I was ready to run away at any moment. If I stay here, I can be in that man’s place any second.
“Don’t run, Corazon, there’s so much you should know” he said, not looking at me. I froze in my place.
Better do what he says.
He stood up and looked towards one of the men.
“Ron, you’re allowed to take your revenge without killing him”
Then he turned to the second man.
“Well, Cane, you are supposed to make sure he doesn’t die, of course, I wouldn’t take you from completing your revenge either”
Then he turned to the third one.
“And Max. Well, after you all have done your work, give him to me. I’ll like to take the honor” and with that, he looked towards me.
“Interesting, right? Corazon?” he said and smirked while taking my hand and pulling me out of the room.
Hailey’s POV
He dragged me out of the torture room and closed the door behind him. He looked at my pale face.
“Afraid, are you?” he asked with a smirk.
“I… You…” I couldn’t form a sentence!
“I love to see you like this,” he said and took me upstairs, never leaving my hand.
We reached the room and I went inside.
“Don’t try to escape. It’ll hurt” he said and went out.
Why god!? What did I even do to live with this monster? Why is he like this?
Just then there was a knock on the door.
It’s definitely not Robert. He would never knock in Million years.

I opened the dom and saw one of the man standing there
“Hello, Ms. Hail – 1. I mean Mrs. Hailey I’m Max and you can call me if you need help” he said.
I cringed at the word Mrs
I nodded my head. He looked at my hand which was braised till now. His eyes showed empathy.
“Le it okay?” he added. I was shocked.
I thought he would be just like Robert, wouldn’t he be?

“You don’t need to be formal with me. I know everything that happens here. But Robert has his reasons to be the one
he’s now…” he said.
“I… I don’t understand. What reason can possibly make that man sitting in that room hear that much pain?”
“Robert is just a little too strict,” he said.
“Stop taking his side. It’s okay” I said. “I don’t need anything now,” I said.
He nodded and left the room.
Somewhere I feel that I can trust him. Maybe he helps me in escaping?
The day ended and I laid down to sleep. But sleep was long gone; the scenes from that room kept repeating in my mind. I closed my eyes but I couldn’t sleep.
3 AM
Suddenly the door clicks open. I sat up with a thud because I didn’t know who came this late.
“Oh, you’re up!?” He asked me.
Yes, Robert. Who else?
I ignored him and laid down, staring at the ceiling.
He’s here asking his stupid question when he is the only reason for the nightmare I was having.
A kind of trauma.
“Ignoring me is the worst thing you’ll ever do,” he said.
“I… I’m just awake” I said. He laid down beside me.
I quickly tried to get up but he pulled me by my hand.
“We’re married,” he said. I really, really cringed at that line.

“Thanks to you” I replied.
I’m really shocked I didn’t stutter.
“Oh, welcome,” he said. I rolled my eyes and closed my eyes to let sleep engulf me
I finally slept after more than half an hour. I won’t want to wake up before 12 tomorrow.
I stood up when I heard shouting. I checked the time.
5 AM.
Definitely not what I wanted.
I stood up nevertheless because the shouting didn’t stop. I stopped when I heard gunshots.
Oh crap. What’s happening!?
I opened the door and was going to go down when a man came.
“Mrs. Hailey, you need to stay inside. That’s boss‘ order” he said and left, not before bowing before me.
I was confused and so I went inside. What was going on?
Suddenly I went inside and found the phone ringing
