Chapter 10
I saw Robert’s Adam’s apple rolling violently and his lips trembling.
“What was determined…?”
“Mr. Griffin… Mrs. Griffin, she…”
“No, don’t say it!” Robert’s eyes were bloodshot, his voice rough and hoarse. “Where are you? Give me your location, I want to see it with my own eyes!”
He forced himself to stand up.
Ran toward the car like crazy.
A few minutes of time.
I don’t know how many red lights I ran through.
He finally arrived at the designated location.
The shopkeeper greeted with a sorrowful expression, “Mr. Griffin… it was Ms. Riddle at that time…”
“Make way!”
Robert rushed in with red eyes.
He couldn’t hear anything.
I only knew that her lover might be lying in the morgue.
He finally rushed in.
A female corpse lay horizontally in the morgue cabinet.
I don’t know why.
Robert slowed down his pace.
Step by step, he moved laboriously toward the corpse.
Uncover the white cloth.
The people inside were unrecognizable due to the explosion.
Robert burst into laughter.
I laughed until tears came out.
said it, it couldn’t be Carissa, you guys are deceiving me.”
He pointed at the corpse and laughed maniacally, “Are you trying to scare me in collaboration with

Carissa? Tell me, where is she? I’m going to go and coax her now.”
The small shop owner shook his head with difficulty, “Mr. Griffin…”
“I said it’s not her!” Robert shouted, “This person doesn’t look anything like her, Carissa is so beautiful; this is definitely not her!”
The staff took out a sealed bag.
“Sir, this is the only thing left on the deceased’s body,”
“I offer my condolences.”
Robert’s laughter came to an abrupt halt.
He was stunned.
I took the bracelet handed to me by the staff mechanically,
The jade bracelet had a faint black mark on it, which was left by a small explosion.
That was… he bought it at the auction for Shirley.
The necklace and bracelet were a set of imperial green auction items.
Shirley didn’t like the broken emerald on the bracelet, so he took the bracelet back and gave it to
- me.
I was particularly surprised when I received the gift from Robert for the first time.
Shirley, however, told me that the bracelet was what she had picked out last.
Because of this matter, I argued with Robert.
But he couldn’t bear to let go of his feelings.
I never took it off until I died.
I didn’t expect it… but it turned out to be the final piece of evidence to prove my identity…
Robert opened his eyes in a disheveled manner, his voice dry, “It should have been just the same
model.”
The shopkeeper choked back tears and said, “The forensic doctor said that Mrs. Griffin was in
excruciating pain when she died, but if she had been rescued a little earlier, there might have been
a chance to save her.”
“What did you say?”
Robert turned his head to look at him in confusion.

The little shopkeeper burst into tears and said, “The rescue team had already arrived, but when they were trying to save Mrs, Griffin, they were stopped by a man. He only allowed the rescue team to save another trapped person, which delayed the time to save Mrs. Griffin, and that’s why… that’s
why…”
Robert paused for a moment, then something occurred to him, and his face turned pale abruptly,
“No… nonsense!”
He shouted loudly and ran away.
He crazily stepped on the accelerator, not knowing how many cars he brushed past.
I didn’t understand.
Why does he have to pretend to care again, given what has happened?
The person who told me to go
die.
Wasn’t it you,
Robert?
