Chapter 63
Joshua didn’t even give Shawn a glance. Without uttering a single word, he drew back and swung his fist, channeling all his fury straight into Shawn’s face. That punch was loaded with every ounce of anger he had, landing with a force that was hard to ignore.
Shawn winced in pain, instinctively letting go of Allison and clutching the spot where he was hit. “What the hell is wrong with you?” he snapped.
Joshua pulled Allison behind him, his eyes as cold as ice as they locked onto Shawn. “Stay away from her,” he warned, his voice low and dangerous.
Already fuming from the punch, Shawn’s rage only intensified when he saw Joshua protectively shielding Allison. His chest tightened with anger.
With a frustrated shove, he pushed Joshua back. “Damn it! She’s mine. Keep your damn hands off her!”
Calmly, Joshua handed the thermos he was holding to Allison. “Just wait over there for me, okay?” he said gently.
Then, he turned back to Shawn and delivered a swift kick, knocking him to the ground.
Shawn scrambled back to his feet, boiling with humiliation and fury. As a proud heir of the Reynolds family, he was used to being the center of attention, never having been treated with such disrespect.
The realization that this man had such a close connection with Allison stung. Had she really moved on so quickly after just a few days apart?
This thought only fueled Shawn’s anger. He clenched his fist and swung it at Joshua with everything he had.
Joshua deftly dodged and retaliated with a punch that landed right on Shawn’s nose, causing blood to flow freely.
Allison wanted to step in, but the chaotic clash of two furious men was beyond her intervention. She didn’t want to add to Joshua’s worries, and dutifully stepped aside.
Blood dripped from Shawn’s nose, his anger only growing hotter as the blood pounded in his ears. His eyes blazed with fury as he cursed and kicked at Joshua.
Joshua grunted in pain, but quickly retaliated with a powerful shove that pinned Shawn down. He knelt over him, one knee pressing into Shawn’s chest, one hand gripping his throat, while the other hammered his face
with determined blows.
Joshua was raised with a background of elite composure and dignity, and had always maintained his calm. Except for that one incident years ago, he had never resorted to physical violence.
Yet here he was, fighting fiercely for Allison once more.
Now at a disadvantage, Shawn took several hits before he found a chance to break free. His forehead veins bulging, eyes filled with rage, he launched a relentless attack, determined to bring Joshua down.
Joshua, equally fierce, fought back with the intent to overpower Shawn completely.
Allison had never witnessed such violence from either Shawn or Joshua. They seemed to have lost their senses, and as the fight escalated, even Allison began to panic. This could end badly if it didn’t stop soon!
She tried yelling for them to stop, but her voice was drowned out by the chaos.
The two men were blinded by their anger, and continued their vicious clash. They were oblivious to everything else.
Joshua’s driver tried to intervene, but Shawn tossed him aside with ease.
The security guard from the complex, hearing the ruckus, rushed to the scene. Seeing Joshua’s driver sprawled on the ground, the guard hesitated, then quickly pulled out his phone to call the police and an ambulance.

Passersby hurried by, sticking close to the garden’s edge to avoid getting caught up in the melee.
It wasn’t until the police and paramedics arrived that the fight was finally broken up.
The officers separated the two men. Neither Shawn nor Joshua emerged victorious from the brawi.
Shawn’s face was swollen beyond recognition, blood smeared across his face, his shirt collar torn and covered in dirt, a stark contrast to his usual polished look.
Joshua didn’t fare much better, with cuts around his eyes and mouth. His hand was scraped and bleeding from Shawn’s cufflinks. He looked nothing like his usual composed and elegant self.
