After my shopping trip and my debut as a model, we returned to the palace. I mixed articles of clothing that each of
them had selected because I didn’t want to cause conflict. I still have no clue how this will work. “Avery, we are dragons. We need to trust our instincts,” Regina says in mind. I know that she is likely right, but I still feel tension. A conflict is
brewing, I just know it. I don’t think it is just because the Hoity Hags are still on the loose either. This goes deeper, maybe
into a past life if such things are possible.
Cassius knocks on my new door, “Avery, we need your help with breakfast unless you want to put out a fire.” He hears my
laughter and comes in. He stops, “Wow! You look amazing, babe.” I blush as I bite my lip. He chuckles as he scoops me
up and kisses the top of my head. “Adorable, just adorable. Now my queen, let’s get down to the kitchen.” Instead of
taking the stairs, he leaps out of my open window to the courtyard below. He carries me through the service entrance
straight into the kitchen. There’s flour everywhere.
I giggle, “Did any make it into the bowl?”
Clint looks at me in Cassius’ arms and I see a bit of anger in his eyes. “Carter isn’t upset, Avery. Clint is. I thought he had
shared before. These are his brothers and not strangers. Avery, I think he may have started liking you before the mate
bond happened,” Regina tells me. I motioned for Cassius to put me down and I noticed Clint’s fury abate. I talk to
Regina, “I need you to communicate with their dragons. I won’t have a war between them because of me.” She hums her
response so I know that she will.
After I helped them make breakfast, we all rode to school together. They also informed me that at least one of them
would be by my side all day for the rest of the school year. This is going to take a lot of getting used to. I can barely
accept my new appearance and that I am a dragon, let alone have mates and not fear the things I once hated. Conner
holds the doors as I walk in with The Trio behind me. Everyone goes quiet and stares.
Cassius puts his hand around my waist and pulls me to him as his brothers flank us. He roars, “We have found our mate.
If you touch her, prepare to pay with your life!” His lips crash to mine as Clint and Conner kiss my neck. I freeze because I
have never been kissed before. I feel Regina nudge me to put one hand on Clint’s jaw and one on Conner’s as she has
me part my lips. How does she know what to do? But at the moment, I am thankful for her guidance. I make a mental
note that I need to talk to Trisha about all of this and maybe do more reading and watch some porn, because even
though it felt good it still felt alien.
True to their word, they were with me all day. We sat together at lunch too. I could overhear the cheerleaders calling me
names and saying how I must have bewitched The Trio. I didn’t do anything. I never asked for any of this! Conner takes my hand, “Avery, ignore them. They’re just jealous. They don’t matter, but you do. Soon you will officially be their Luna
and they will have no choice but to bow.” He placed a soft and sweet kiss on my lips before he pulled back to say, “Like I
should have done when we were younger. I am sorry for everything, but you can still kill me in our play.”
I blush and bite my lip, “I can change it.”
He looks at me, “Don’t, because I deserve it. It was a lesson that I needed to learn. Avery, I have so much to make up for, we all do.”
Cassius took my hand and walked me to the chemistry class that we had together. We passed Jessica who was wearing
his Letterman jacket. “Cassius, shouldn’t you get that from her?”
He stops and looks at me. “Does my mate want me to?”
I chew my lip for a moment which allows Regina to surge forward. “Yes,” I growled but it came out in Regina’s tone.
He chuckled in a mix of his and Asher’s tone, “Your eyes are beautiful, Regina. Your possessiveness is fucking hot too.” He
kisses me before he places me in the doorway of Mr. Chen’s classroom. He strides over to Jessica and roars, “You don’t
deserve this.” He turns his hand into a claw and shreds the jacket off of her. He glares at her as he points his claw right
between her eyes, “You would have never been queen. You were just an easy pussy until I found the only one that I will
ever crave. Touch what is mine again, and I will kill you myself!”
All of the girls gasped and hurried to their classes while the Hags tried to comfort their fallen leader. Overcome with
passion, I pulled Cassius into a kiss. We hear a throat clear. “When I told you to treat your subjugates better, this isn’t what I meant, Cassius,” Mr. Chen said.
Cassius spun me to face our teacher. “Avery isn’t my subjugate. My little mate is your future Luna.”
Mr. Chen smiled, “I will assist June and Anton in the preparations for Avery’s Grand Ceremony. Should I prepare the
potion for the announcement ceremony as well?”

“Four?” Confused, Mr. Chen asked.
Cassius nodded, “Yes, four because she is all my brothers’ mate too.”
“Oh,” he gasped. “This is unprecedented.”
Cassius kissed the top of my head as he explained, “Avery has a dragon and the kingdom will meet her when we mark
her. You all will see and understand then.”
Mr. Chen nodded as the other students made their way into the classroom. The rest of the day went by smoothly. I had to
sit where The Trio could see me during their football practice after school. I know nothing about the sport, but it looks
like I will now. But I will say that seeing The Trio sweaty and shirtless is definitely a perk and serves as my motivation to
learn all that I can about football.
