Once breakfast was made, we sat down to eat. Cassius had me tell the others about my dream and that array. A look of worry crossed Conner’s face before he masked it with a smile. He then asked if I would go on a date with him tomorrow.
Cassius quickly claimed the next day. So much for a lazy week following my coronation. The guys offered to do the dishes
since I did the majority of the cooking, but I enjoyed it. They told me that a queen doesn’t do any chores. Then what does
a queen do with her day? Surely she just doesn’t lounge about. I can’t ever be idle like that!
I went into my room which now has a door that I close. I strip off Cassius’s shirt and lay it across my mattress. I take a
quick shower as my mind replays my earlier shower. Cassius washed every inch of me before he pressed my back against
the tile and fucked me. Ugh! I can’t keep thinking about sex. I flip the handle to cold. The cool water sizzles as it hits my
hot skin. Steam rising filling my bathroom. The steam mimics the mist from my dream of that beautiful island paradise. I wonder where it is and if The Trio would go with me to visit.

After my cold shower, I put on shorts and a t-shirt. I braided my hair and went to find Clint. He was sitting in his room
reading. “You look nice,” he said as he put his book down and stood up. He walked over to me with his hands in his
pockets. “But you’re missing something,” he says.

he said as he put it in my hair. It was beautiful and even more so once we walked out onto his balcony.

“It does not compare to my mate,” he says as he kisses me. He scoops me up and walks to the edge. I tense and he
kisses the top of my head. “Relax, Avery. I won’t drop you because I want you to remember this flight.”
He was the one who got me back to the palace after The Hoity Hags left me for dead. He cared before I was his mate! I
lean up and kiss him. “I am ready. Show me what you’ve got, hot stuff.” He chuckled as Carter’s wings emerged. With a
strong flap, we were airborne.
