Tim**
I am having a hard time containing my dragon. He smells sex on Avery. Clint should be looking for his mate, not using
Avery as a substitute. I need to find a way to get her alone and tell her that she’s being used. I can’t reveal that dragons
are the ones using her and that I am a dragon too, can I?
**Avery**
When we go to take our seats, I mindlink to the guys and tell them to be more restrained towards me. I informed them
that I was concerned about the look on Tim’s face. Cassius told me that Asher sensed a change in Tim and Conner said
that Caleb agreed. I felt Regina sigh and Carter reached out to comfort her. Neither my mates nor their dragons would
harm me and I need Tim to realize that. I don’t even know if he is aware that he’s at a table full of dragons.
All of the human girls kept staring at my mates and it began to irritate me. “I think I want something besides our usual
when we come here. Cassius, come with me, please.”
He stands and extends his hand, “Where to, my queen?”
I roll my eyes at him. “Would you stop, please?”
He chuckles, “Sorry. Some habits can’t be broken.”
I noticed Tim studying us, which is what I hoped. I want him to see that The Trio are my friends and not a threat in any
way. I smiled and waved as Cassius walked me out of eyesight. We went to get these wondrous gooey cinnamon rolls.
The girl working the counter made sure to lean over as she was handing us our order. I put my hand on his arm so that
he would sit the tray down on a nearby table. I looked the girl right in the eyes as I pulled Cassius into a kiss. These men
are mine!
I felt our desire spike as our kiss became more passionate. When I pulled away from our kiss, I glared at the girl before his
strong arms scooped me up. I giggled as I motioned to the tray. He leaned down so that I could grab it. I effortlessly
picked it up and held it firmly as he carried me back to our group. To my surprise, Tim was laughing with Conner as they
pointed to Clint. I must have missed a funny story which I will ask about later.
Clint smirks, “It’s about time you returned with my girlfriend, brother.”
Cassius laughs as he sits me down, “I was just keeping her out of trouble. You know how she gets.”
“I do. It also looks like we are having dessert first too,” Clint replied.

I roll my eyes. “I wanted something satisfyingly sweet. So shoot me!”
Everyone laughed as I passed out the rolls. Tim looked at me and The Trio. “Answer this for me. Do you love Avery?” he
asked.
Clint wiped some glaze from my lip and kissed my cheek before he turned to Tim. “I would give my life for hers.”
“That’s not the answer that I was expecting. From what I have heard, you all are players,” Tim said bluntly.
I felt Cassius become angry so I put my hand on top of his. He took in a breath before he answered, “I was a player and
an asshole. I am still an asshole just not the one like I used to be. Avery is the reason for it all. I don’t expect you to
understand but that’s how it is.” The other brothers nodded.
“Tim, these guys are my family. It was rough for a while, but now it is good and I am happier than I have ever been. Do
you remember when we used to play dragons?”
I see an odd expression on his face before he quickly covers it up. “Yes, it was fun until you refused to go into the woods.”
“Until now, when we played dragons, that was the happiest I have ever been. These guys make me feel safe, valued, and
free just as you used to. I loved you back then but it is nothing compared to how I love Cassius, Conner, and especially
Clint. Please don’t make me choose because you will lose.” I felt the other brothers tense because I said especially Clint
but I had to because Tim thinks that Clint is my boyfriend.
**Tim**
Tim looks at us. “I am sorry. I won’t make you choose. I just wanted to make sure that you weren’t a passing fancy.”
“She isn’t. Avery is more than my girlfriend. She is my queen and will be mine for eternity,” Clint replied before he kissed
her. The other brothers looked jealous but in a non-threatening way. Just what is going on here? Dragons don’t marry
humans and yet Clint implied just that. What the fuck is happening? Just then I got a text from my cousin and had to
excuse myself.
