Before we were outside of the asylum, Tim stopped us. “Before we go do whatever it is you are going to do, I need to tell
you all something. When I was at that orphanage, I thought I was human like you Avery, and some of the other kids. That
was until my cousin, James Balans, showed up and adopted me. He helped me free my dragon and I still don’t know why
he was hidden, none of us do. That aside, I thought you were human until today. I was eager to meet you tonight
because I wanted to warn you about The Trio. I planned on telling you about dragons and urge you to come to Talos with
me because another war is coming much like the one that made me an orphan. I thought you needed protection and I wanted to be the one to do it.”
He looked around and smiled, “But you are a dragon and perhaps even more powerful than The King Of Kings. You don’t
need my protection, but as the Beta of Talos, I need to tell you this.” He gulped nervously as he took in a breath, “I
thought that James was insane when he told me that his dragon found their mate and temporarily marked her. He told
me that he did it because she was underage. When his mark stopped their link, he changed. However, the day I returned
from our reunion, he told me that you were his mate. I thought it was impossible because you were human, so I tried to
research how any of it was possible. I kept this meeting from James too, yet he had Ty find me. When I return, I will face
his wrath and I don’t think that he will be as forgiving as you have been. So in case this is the last time we speak, I wanted
you to know it all. I also want you to know that I have always loved you and will never forget you.”
I looked at my mates and The Ravens before I looked back at Tim, “Regina and I don’t know how any of this is possible or
how we can have multiple mates, but we are accepting it more and more. When we healed you, that dragon bowed and
helped. He was the same one that attacked me the day you were adopted. Maybe he can explain some of this and tell me
why I need to find Altima Island.”
He blinks rapidly, “It was the last known place of the Goddess. Only those she deems worthy will find it.” He points to my
engagement ring, “Which guy gave that to you and where did they get it?”
Cassius must not have liked his tone because he pulled me to him to make sure that he was now between Tim and me. “I
got it for my brothers and me. An elderly man named Gio gave it to me after he said that he was a Keeper and that I was
a Seeker. We know that the ring amplifies Avery’s powers among other things. If you touch it or her, I will kill you!” he
roars.
Tim raises his hands up as he takes a step back, “You all are bonded. I will never interfere with the Goddess’s design.
What I am failing to say is that I think you need to meet James and see if he is your mate too. Because if he is, then you
both will need each other to stop this war and prevent extinction.”
I allow a few moments for his words to sink in. I give Cassius a kiss on his cheek before I take his hand. We walk over to
Tim and my other mates stand beside us. “We will travel to Talos after we do what should have been done the first time
that the Hags tried to kill me. However, I will bring anyone I want with me, dragon or otherwise.”
Tim smiled. “I had a huge crush on the sweet Avery that I knew when I was young, but this Avery I am in awe of. You are
the Queen we all need. Lead the way.”
I shook my head as I giggled. Regina and I had thought that the mark on my back had significance, but we had no clue
who that green dragon was. So it was James’ dragon, Ty, who marked and tried to protect us. I wonder why he didn’t
adopt me though? He could have removed me from that orphanage and I would have had a different life, but would I
have still found The Trio? I also hope that there won’t be any animosity when we visit Talos. I wonder if James has any
bitches who think that they are Queen? Regina laughs and it tickles so I laugh too. Everyone stares at me as we stop
outside of the gym doors. I spin to address them. “I am not just your Queen. I am the Supreme Queen!” I use Regina’s
flame to burn the doors down. “Now all will bow!”

Each day Avery amazes me more and I fall more in love with her. I am falling for Regina too. Carter assures me that we
both should love ass sides of our mate, human and dragon alike. But the stone-cold King Of Kings who D is banned
Corra instead of killing them all is her hidden mate? How the fuck can that be true? I hope it isn’t because his stupidity
nearly got my brother and Avery killed just now. Yes, my stupidity made her a target and fucking Lenore nearly killed her,
but it isn’t the same. James’ arrogance is bringing a war, the same war he could have ended permanently but chose not
to. He could be part of the reason that both mine and Avery’s parents are dead. I don’t blame Tim for wanting to protect
Avery, because I do too. I don’t care if James is the King Of Kings, if he won’t do what is right, my brothers and I will!
