I could let Lenore and Jessica suffer for days, but I am not that cruel. I look at the coins that are slowly sinking into the
tepid water of the fountain. “You both have until the coin hits the bottom because when it does, you will fade away just
as Heidi did. It could take minutes or hours,” I say with a shrug, “Because you both have been nothing but two mean girls
who had no regard for anyone but themselves. Now once you are gone, no one will remember you.” I look at Draven and
my Ravens. “It will be as if you never existed.” I made the spotlight shine only on them. “Enjoy your last few moments of
life in the spotlight!”
The Trio all embraced me and took turns kissing me. I found myself no longer caring when the coins sank because I have
all that I had ever wanted. I had my revenge and saw justice served, I now know who that dragon that marked me when I
was six was, I have friends, and most importantly I am loved. When I heard the music start-up, we all turned toward the
fountain. Samael and Donn reached in and retrieved their coins. They didn’t even get wet when their hands sliced
through the surface.
Samael was the first to walk over to me. “Jessica used my coin. She wanted to be a queen.” He winked as he placed the
coin in my hand. “Heavy is the crown,” he said as I was thrust into a vision.
I smiled at him. “Soon you will have someone to share that weight with. She is beautiful too.”
He blinked. “Avery, you must be mistaken. I have never had a woman.”
My cheeks flushed, “I had never had a man and now I have three. You will adapt because she’s worth it.” He took my
hand and kissed it as he said thank you. There’s no reason to thank me because I am only doing what I feel is right.
Donn tried to drop his coin in my hand. I shook my head no as I grabbed his wrist as he tried to wrench it free. Biting my
lip, I giggled. “Whether you want it or not, you, my dark friend, will be doubly blessed.”
He rolled his eyes. “Avery, that won’t happen.”
When I put my left hand on his chest, my ring glowed and the colors it refracted began to swirl. “It will happen. They will
be two dark twins from the world below.”
“Miss Avery, demons only consort with their own kind and occasionally humans,” he said.
I took both of his huge hands into my tiny ones. I had to settle for holding a few of his fingers on each hand. “See what I
see,” I said as I took him into my vision of Altima. “If a place exists that consists of Beings I can’t name, then it is possible
for your mates to be demons.” He pulled me into a hug and thanked me. He also told me that we would see each other
again. I found myself being sad at the thought of them going, but they have an important job to do that Corra had
prevented for quite some time. As a parting gift, the Ravens clapped their hands together before flying away as their
birds.
Suddenly the room was how it was before our entrance, the only difference being no Hoity Hags. Mr. Gray and the staff
stood on stage holding sashes and crowns. He starts his speech, “I am very pleased by the turnout this year. We here at
Salvation are saddened to see many of you graduate this year, but we are very excited to watch you all blossom into
adults and the future of this tribe as it depends on you. Now, for the moment you have been waiting for…the crowning
of this year’s king and queen.” He takes an envelope from Mr. Chen and opens it. He raises his eyebrow as he says, “This
is unconventional but I will allow it. We have a queen and three kings. Avery, would you and the Draco brothers please
come to the stage?”

I won? I originally won! The spotlights fall on us. This is really happening. Clint takes one of my hands as Conner takes the
other. Cassius walks behind me with his hands on my waist. As we neared the stage, Cassius lifted me up and placed me
on stage. The Trio stood behind me as the staff put the sash around me. There was only one sash for my mates to share. I
nodded to Draven. He muttered a spell as I waved my hand. Since The Ravens restarted the prom, I have to keep people
thinking that Draven is from Talos and not Tim. So far no one has paid Tim any attention except for Trisha. I will introduce
them later.
Once two more sashes and crowns appeared, the staff gasped and bowed. I shook my head. “Rise. I am still just Avery.”
Mr. Gray motioned for the staff to do as I asked. “If our Queen wishes to skip the formalities, then we will.” I nodded.
“Very well, our Queen who is this year’s prom queen wishes to skip the formalities.”
They put the crowns on our heads, but Cassius urged me to speak. “I want to thank you all for voting for us. You didn’t
have to, but thank you.” They all clapped and cheered. “As Naga’s Queen I have something to say. It was brought to our
attention that we had members of our tribe that were conspiring to not just kill me, but infiltrate other tribes too. They want to bring a war. My mates and I will do our best to ensure Naga’s survival. So if you notice certain members of our
tribe missing, know that they were the rats.” Everyone gasped as they looked around. “Now as your prom queen, I
declare it party time. DJ give me some tunes!”
The music began to play as my mates kissed me. Cassius scooped me up and carried me to the dance floor. Then my mates surrounded me. Cassius smirks as Clint runs his hands over my body. “Noone will see what we do to you, and they won’t hear you either,” Cassius murmurs before he kisses me. Oh my! Just what are they planning now?
