She immediately forgave him.

Issac didn’t rush to confront her. He simply said, “If Lia won’t marry me, then I’ll never get

“I just want her. I don’t care about the Allen Group,” said Issac.

Issac knew exactly what his mother wanted, and his words undoubtedly struck a painful chord with her.

“How could you be so foolish? How did I end up with such a love–struck son?” Luna scolded.

“Aren’t you the same?” he asked.

She only had one son, and their relationship couldn’t be ruined over a woman who didn’t matter.

Lia paused for a moment, then said honestly, “He’s treating us.”

“He? Who?” Phoebe and Millie slowly realized. “Mr. Ford is treating us?”

“I’ve been talking about my boyfriend but never treated you to a meal,” said Lia.

“Um, Lia, we were just joking.” Phoebe and Millie laughed.

If it were anyone else, it would’ve been fine, but knowing it’s Mr. Ford, they couldn’t act that way.

“Owen will be there as well, just as usual. Just keep it casual,” said Lia.

“Sure, we’ll go. We won’t turn you down.” After some back and forth, the two who initially didn’t want to go finally agreed.

After sorting things out with everyone, Lia returned to her office and messaged him.

[Coby, Phoebe, and the others are available, but Cora is on a business trip, so it’s just us.]

[Let’s arrange something next time for her. What do you guys want to eat?] Coby texted back.

Not long after, the man sent another message. [Anything but that BBQ place.]

Lia smiled softly, biting her lip. He still remembered that.

Just as she was about to reply, a strange phone number popped up. Instinctively, she hung up.

The person kept calling, so Lia added the number to her blacklist.

Not long after, another unknown call came in, along with a text message.

[Lia, pick up now!]

It was Mrs. Allen calling. Since her resignation, she had changed her number and cut ties with them.

Lia didn’t understand why Mrs. Allen was calling.

Another strange call came in. She hesitated for a long time before choosing to answer.

“Madam,” she said.

“Lia, how could you do this to me?” Though Luna tried to suppress her anger, her voice still revealed her fury.

Lia thought for a moment before replying calmly, “I don’t know what I did wrong, Madam.”

She had done everything the woman asked, with a clear conscience.

“Don’t know?” Luna sneered coldly. “It was my mistake to have kept you by my side, supported your education. Now you’ve grown wings, turned your back on me, and teamed up with Ford Group against Issac. Lia, how dare you?”

Lia thought Luna was overestimating herself. Coby had gotten the project with his own abilities, and Issac’s loss was just the result of that, but to Luna, everything was a scheme. It was ridiculous.

“Madam, I’m grateful for the care you’ve given me, but I don’t owe the Allen family, and I don’t owe you,” said Lia.

Luna had already known she wouldn’t listen, and now she felt betrayed. “Since you’re so grateful, you should leave Ford Group right now. Issac doesn’t mind who you’re with, and neither do I. In fact, I can even let you join us.”

At VitalCare Medical’s gynecology department, a doctor looked up from the examination sheet and adjusted his glasses. “Miss, this isn’t a gynecological issue.”

“It’s not? But I haven’t had my period for almost two months.” Frances had suffered from severe inflammation before, so she paid special attention to.these matters.

Two months. If she did the math, the baby in her belly must be Issac’s.
