Celine saw that Alyssa had replied and eagerly started chatting with her. [Alyssie, look at these adorable screenshots I got of you and Andrew together.]
Right after, she sent two images. The first one was from last night when Alyssa was looking at Andrew. Her gaze was incredibly gentle, and whether it was the angle or the lighting, everything seemed perfect. The fact that it was a slightly blurry screenshot from a video actually added a soft, dreamy quality, making the whole image feel even more intimate.
Alyssa recalled that she did look at him intently last night, but she hadn’t realized her expression was so tender in that
moment.
Then she looked at the second image. This one showed two hands intertwined–clearly a man’s hand holding a woman’s hand. Andrew’s hand was well–defined, with long, elegant fingers gently grasping Alyssa’s delicate fingers, almost playfully. The image gave off a subtle yet unmistakable sense of intimacy.
Alyssa immediately recognized it as a screenshot of when Andrew was helping her set up the fingerprint recognition by holding her hand. There was nothing particularly significant about the moment, yet the way it was captured made it seem strangely suggestive.
Celine: [Alyssie, what do you think of my screenshotting skills?]
Alyssa: [Well, they’re amazing 1

After exchanging goodnights, Alyssa planned to scroll through Twitter before going to sleep. But just as she exited WhatsApp, she got another message notification
When she checked, it wasn’t a private message—someone had tagged her in a group chat. She opened the chat to find that Megan had tagged her.
After tagging her, Megan posted a bunch of photos showing Sean and Hailey shopping for rings at a mall.
Following the photos, she added: [Some people are really asking for it. They tried scheming against Hailey, thinking that by hurting her, Sean would love them more. But all they did was push him closer to Hailey]
Soon, more comments rolled in from Megan’s friends, who also knew Hailey.

“Why Be Trapped By You” added [Wow, finally, true love wins! The wicked bitch just dug her own grave.
Wicked bitch? Alyssa smirked coldly at the messages, not even bothering to respond. She couldn’t care less who Sean was buying rings for anymore.
She closed the group chat and went back to scrolling through Twitter
This group was one that Megan had invited her to join, saying itwas full of socialites from Endale City and some young entrepreneurs, even mentioning that Sean was in it.

Back then, Alyssa didn’t think much of it and assumed that Megan saw her as a close friend, which was why she was invited to such a group. So she eagerly joined. At first, she would engage in conversations with the group members, but over time, she realized she couldn’t really relate to them. Their daily chatter revolved around where to go for fun, which bars to visit, or what luxury brand bags and limited–edition clothes they had bought.
Meanwhile, she was stuck at home every day, cooking for Megan and Brenda, with no time to go out. Brenda was also very strict about money, constantly lecturing her that women should be frugal, because men preferred women who didn’t spend
much and could still manage a household well.
