Chapter 92
Third Person POV
It’s late into the evening when everyone finally begins to head home for the evening and those who were visiting returned to the pack house and to the rooms they were given but not before they would each give a final congratulations to the Bride and her Grooms, Adrian asleep within Eros’s lap as the events of the day had finally put him to sleep.
“Congratulations again, my Alphas, to you and your beautiful family” replies one of the pack members from Mystic Shadow, a smiling slowly making its way across Ares and Eros’s face.
“Thank you, it’s been a long time coming” replies Ares, happy to finally have a complete family to now love and cherish with his brother.
Smiling, the pack member slowly moves to leave giving the Athena and her mates the much needed space that they craved for tomorrow they would head out on their journey to enjoy their honeymoon, having wanted to wait one day so that they could properly wish Adrian goodbye as they would only be gone for a couple of days and when they returned they would be able to start there next step in life together as family for their house was almost complete based on what Ares and Eros could tell when they last visited the place.
“Come love, we should take Adrian home and put him to bed, for tomorrow we have a very busy day” whispers Eros, not wanting to be
loud as he continues to hold their son.
Nodding, Athena moves to agree only to be stopped by Elise.
“Elise, is everything okay?” asks Athena, concerned for the Alpha female and her friend.
“Yes, everything is fine, I just wanted to congratulate each of you and that I personally wanted to extend my thanks for inviting us to your
wedding, I’ll be sure to send you an invite as well when Ashton ever gets around to proposing” teases Elise, her eyes on that of her mate as Ashton talks carefully with Isaac and his mate, unaware Elise was talking about him.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure Ashton will ask you” smiles Athena, wanting good things to happen to her friend Elise and Cara for both were so
deserving of their mates as was Isaac and his group.
“Thanks I truly hope so as well” was all Elise moved to say before hugging her friend, having wanted to say more but didn’t want to bring down the mood with her sad troubles for Elise and her pack we’re going through some tough times and was in need of a friend.
Not quite believing her, Athena moves to arch an eye, knowing that something was completely bugging her friend. ‘Ares, Eros, could I have some alone time with Elise, I think she needs to talk and doesn’t want to burden me because of the wedding‘ replies Athena through the link, her eyes still on Elise.
‘Of course you can love, after all being a Luna means knowing when to listen to those who need it, including neighboring packs‘ was all Ares moves to say as both he and Eros move to take Adrian inside, giving Athena and Elise that moment alone.
“Okay Elise, spill, what’s wrong?” replies Athena, drawing her attention back to her.
Sighing, Elise moves to sigh, “Can we chat more privately, I don’t want others to know” whispers Elise, a sad look now showing in her eyes as Athena nods, moving to take her to a more secluded spot within the pack, the gardens.

Once alone, does Athena move to address Elise again, “Okay, we’re alone, so care to explain what is wrong?” asks Athena again.
“It–It’s my father, he- he finally passed away, his health finally got the better of him because of the Sky Pack and what had transpired with the Rogue King.. I’m lost and not sure what to do” cries Elise, tears now falling from her eyes as she all but sobs.
Sadden by those words, Athena moves to hug her friend. “Oh Elise, I’m so sorry, I didn’t know, you should have stayed home to mourn him, when is the funeral, we’ll come and support you” remarks Athena, hoping to sooth her friend.
“It–It’s passed, we buried him a couple of days prior to coming to your wedding, we buried him beneath his favorite spot, it was what he

wanted, now he’s free to be with my mother” whispers Elise sadly, Athena’s hug helping her more then she let on.
“And Ashton? Where is he in all this?” asks Athena, now wanting to know where her mate was.
“He’s been helping with the pack among other things” answers Elise, not sure what else she could say about her mate, for while she had been heart broken and unable to be the Alpha that her pack needed, Ashton had all but stepped up as the ruling Luna of her pack to do what was needed in order to help his mate.
Nodding, as if satisfied with her answer, Athena moves to hug her again letting Elise just cry until there were no more tears to shed.
“How about this, after I come back from my honeymoon and things have slowly settled, you along with Cara and I can have a girls day, a day to only us and we can talk and catch up, we can make a whole day of it, if it means helping you get back on your feet” replies Athena,
hoping that solution would help Elise.
“I–I’d like that” whispers Elise, her tears finally done as she moves to pull away, unaware that Ashton had followed them and had witnessed the whole thing.
“Good now, why don’t you head back with Ashton, for it would seem he’s worried about you as he had some looking for you” whispers
Athena as she moves to spot Ashton, worry evident in his eyes as she moves to nudge Elise over in his direction.
“Ok” whispers Elise as moves to turn around only to pause, “Oh Athena, thank you for being a good friend, I really needed that” was all Elise says before moving back over towards her mate, a watery smile gracing her lips as she did.
“Anytime Elise” whispers Athena, watching as both eventually turn to walk away, Ashton with his arms around Elise as they did.
Once alone does Athena move to glance up at the rising moon, tears threatening to fall as she moves to hold them back. ‘Oh Moon Goddess, please give Elise the strength that she needs to successfully run her pack in her father’s place, I know she’s 21 and technically an adult but losing one’s parent is always the hardest‘ pleads Athena to Mother Moon, hoping she would hear her pleas before moving to join back up with her mates, unaware of the lurking dangers that would soon make their appearance for while things might be peaceful now, that peace would not last forever.
-Pack House-
Upon returning home, Athena slowly makes her way up towards her and her mates room, already sensing that they were both there, a small smile making itself known as she moves towards their direction.
‘How did things go with Elise love?‘ asks Eros, having sensed her presence the moment she had entered the pack house,
‘It went not so great,‘ admits Athena the moment she reached the third floor landing.
‘Why do you say that?‘ asks Ares, now curious as to why she would say that.
‘Because her father just passed, and recent I might add as well, so she’s hurting and needed someone to talk to, Ashton’s been trying to hold down the fort while Elise tries to figure out the next step, she’s lost without her father‘ answers Athena, just as she moves to enter the room her eyes now fixed on her mates as enters, closing the door as she did before making her way over to the bed slowly.
“Oh love, we’re so sorry” whispers Eros as he moves to pull Athena closer to them, Ares and Eros both moving to wrap their arms around their mate, tears now falling from her eyes as she moves to cry for her friend.
“I promise, once we’re back from our Honeymoon, we’ll work on figuring something out in order to help out Elise, that I can promise” was all that was said as Ares and Eros move to console their mate, knowing just how hard this must be to know that your friend was secretly hurting and you not being able to help.
“Thank you” whispers Athena, unable to say anything further as she moves to seek comfort within both of her males.
“Author Note: I know I had previously mentioned that this book would only have about another 10-11 chapters before it was completed

but it was recently fought to my attention that I should try and extend the chapters just a little tit further they what i onginally hard planned so fear hot, I shall have more than just 100 chapters to this story as we still need to find Lily and end he once and for all as a as Brian and his friends and family too.
