With that. Rosalie went straight upstairs as if looking at Lucas would dirty her eyes.

Chapter 11 What Do You Have?
If your family background is good and your family is powerful, people will respect you. If someone knows you have no background, they won’t hesitate to step on you.
So when Heidi heard Lucas speak so disdainfully about backgrounds, she became a bit curious.
“Because a background is something given by the family. What I have is the land! It’s something I fought for myself!”

Lucas responded with a casual “Oh and a chuckle.

Of course, the so–called land that Lucas mentioned was by no means empty bravado!
