Chapter 25 You’re Forgiven
However, the faster the few people pounced on Lucas, the faster they flew out!!
Thund! Thud! Thud!
After a series of heavy collisions, several bodyguards spat out blood as they were thrown through the air, crashing to the ground, unable to get up.
This was Lucas holding back. Otherwise, with just a punch or a kick, these guys would have been corpses. This scene was even more visually shocking than when Lucas had hit Jacob earlier.
With just a few punches and kicks, one man sent a group of tough bodyguards flying and spitting blood- what a thrilling scenel
It was like something straight out of a top–tier action movie!
“W–who are you?”
Jacob’s eyelid twitched as he stared at the guy dressed in cheap clothes, stammering out the question.
Lucas, brimming with arrogance, replied smugly, “Im Celine’s-
But just then, a cold, sharp voice rang out, “Lucas!”
The stunning CEO glared at Lucas, her beautiful eyes carrying a hint of warning.
Although their relationship would be revealed at the wedding sooner or later, Celine didn’t want everyone -to know Lucas’s identity just yet..
Who knows what this troublemaker might say if the whole company found out too soon?
The thought alone gave her a headache.
Lucas cleared his throat and chuckled awkwardly. T’m Ms. Xavier’s driver and personal bodyguard!”
Lucas knew better than to ignore her warning.
D*mn! Sweetheart has made it clear she would be testing me for a few days. Fine, keep it low–key. Low–key! Hearing Lucas’s response, Celine shot him a sideways glance, letting out a soft huff as she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
If this idiot had called her his wife in front of the entire company, she’d be dying of embarrassment.
Upon hearing Lucas’s identity, Jacob’s face flushed with anger as he spat out, “A driver? A bodyguard? Just a lowly servant, and you dare hit me? You just wait. In less than two days, I’ll make sure your body is left to rot in the streets. D*mn dog!”
As soon as Jacob’s threat hung in the air, Lucas’s eyes narrowed, and he slowly approached.
“Oh? Leave my corpse in the streets?” he asked, crouching down with a wicked smile curling on his lips.
“W–what are you doing, you mutt?” Jacob stammered, a shiver running down his spine at the sight of Lucas’s expression.

“Nothing.” Lucas replied with a mocking tone. “I just heard your plans to leave me dead in the got scared. Thought I’d come over and humble myself a bit.
“To seek your forgiveness and express my sincerity, how about 1 start by resetting your bones, Mr. Kane?”
Jacob blinked in surprise at Lucas’s words, a smug smile spreading across his face.
Did this lowly man finally understand fear?
However, before that arrogant grin could fully form, it was replaced by a look of sheer agony.
Crack! A sharp sound echoed through the air.
Lucas grabbed Jacob’s arm, pulled and stretched it, and then hit him roughly.
“Ahhh!”
The pain was far worse than when it was broken.
He let out an car-piercing scream.
Around him, onlookers winced in sympathy, their faces contorting at the sight.
It turns out that what this guy meant by resetting the bone is to directly put the broken bones back together. How painful that must be.
“D’mn it! I’ll make sure you suffer for this! Argh!” Jacob screamed, his eyes red with rage and agony.
“Oh dear, Mr. Kane, I’m sorry! Is that not how you wanted it to reset?”
Lucas feigned innocence, his expression one of mock concern as he forcefully twisted Jacob’s arm again. “Argh! You!
“I’m going to kill you!” Jacob screamed, the pain making his features contort.
“It hurts so much! I swear I’ll kill your entire family!”
“Mr. Kane, no need to get worked up! I’ll reset it properly this time, hehe!”
Lucas grinned, then yanked and slammed Jacob’s broken bone together again with brutal force.
“Aah!” Jacob cried out, tears streaming down his face as cold sweat soaked his entire body.
This time, he opened his mouth to speak, but upon seeing the devilish smile on Lucas’s face, he hesitated, afraid to curse again.
1-1 was wrong! Don’t do it again! Let’s talk this out, man!”
Upon hearing this, Lucas stopped his movements. “Mr. Kane, how do you think I did with the reset?”
“Excellent! You did it perfectly! Thank you, thank you!” Jacob stammered, his face twitching as he spoke, trying to conceal the resentment in his eyes.
“You forgive me?” Lucas asked with a bright smile.

Before Jacob could fully process his words, he heard another crack as Lucas abruptly bent his arm again.
