“What a joke!” Heidi muttered under her breath, completely ignoring any sense of decorum.
She was fed up!

Celine’s face burned with embarrassment as she shot Lucas a furious glare as if she wanted to strangle him on the spot.
It was so embarrassing!
“You already dressed so horribly and made my family look down on you,” she scolded through gritted teeth. “But can you at least keep your mouth shut? Do you think this situation isn’t bad enough already?”
At that moment, Heidi gave a subtle signal to Bill, urging him to step forward and humiliate Lucas.
If Bill added insult to injury and thoroughly embarrassed Lucas, it would only deepen Celine’s shame. Maybe then, she’d finally come to her senses and abandon him.
Rosalie seemed to share the same thought and turned her attention to Bill as well.
But the next moment, something completely unexpected happened.
Everyone froze in shock as Bill, the nobleman from Fleurvain, suddenly dropped to one knee in front of Lucas.
“Your Highness, I offer my deepest respects!”
The room fell into stunned silence.
Heidi and Rosalie’s expressions stiffened, their faces darkening in disbelief.
Celine stood there, utterly confused, her lips slightly parted in shock.
Even Willy, taken aback for a moment, shot Lucas another deep and thoughtful glance.
“Bill! What are you doing?”
Heidi’s voice rang out, nearly shrieking in anger.
“Are you serious? We were all expecting you to put Lucas in his place, not bow before him!”
“Oh my goodness, what’s going on? Why are you on one knee? Is this a marriage proposal?”
Lucas blinked in surprise, quickly raising his hands in protest. “Whoa, hold on, man! I’m into women.”
Seeing his bewildered reaction, Heidi was even angrier. Her face flushed red as she stormed over, yanking Bill to his feet. “Bill, what the hell are you doing? Why would you kneel to him?”
Even after being pulled up, Bill’s gaze remained locked onto Lucas–more precisely, on the golden emblem stitched onto the left side of his chest.
“This gentleman is dressed in the formal regalia of Fleurvain’s royal family,” Bill explained, his voice steady but his expression conflicted. “That emblem signifies his status as a prince. According to our customs, showing respect is mandatory.”

Chapter 33 The Prince’s Attire
As his words hung in the air, Lucas‘ eyes gleamed with interest as he looked at Bill and smiled.
The others, however, were in utter disbelief.
“How is that possible? Him? A prince?”
Heidi’s voice shook as if she had just heard the most ridiculous thing in existence.
“Bill, you must be mistaken,” Rosalie chimed in, equally skeptical.
Bill, still frowning, took another step closer, scrutinizing Lucas‘ outfit.

“I’m not mistaken,” he said firmly. “The embroidery is woven with genuine gold thread, and the stitching technique is exclusive to Fleurvain’s royal family. There’s no way this could be fake. But…

Despite his certainty, an uneasy doubt crept into his mind. His deep–rooted training in noble etiquette had made him instinctively kneel, but now he questioned whether he had acted too rashly.
This oriental man, a Daralianese, didn’t resemble their prince in the slightest–his background, his appearance, nothing fit.
But how on earth did Lucas get a ceremonial suit that symbolized a prince’s status?
“Sir, may I ask where you obtained this attire?” Bill finally blurted out, unable to hold back his curiosity.
Lucas chuckled. “That’s none of your concern. What matters is–does this outfit grant me the right to attend tonight’s banquet?” His smirk was full of confidence.
Bill hesitated briefly before nodding. “Yes, it does. Dressed like this, you’d be more than welcome at even the most prestigious royal gatherings in Fleurvain. However…
“That’s all I needed to know.” Lucas cut him off with a dismissive wave, then turned to Heidi with an air of superiority. “Heidi, did you catch that? I’m practically one step away from wearing the king’s robes. And yet, you had the nerve to say I wasn’t showing enough respect?”
“You…” Heidi was so furious she could barely form words. Her head was spinning, and she still couldn’t wrap her mind around the situation.
How could this man possibly possess Fleurvain’s royal ceremonial attire?
“Sir, I must insist–you should take good care of this outfit,” Bill said, his gaze fixed on the expensive fabric, now slightly creased from Lucas‘ movements. His voice carried a note of distress.
Unable to contain the doubts, he pressed again. “Where exactly did you get this suit?”
