“So, this isn’t that scoundrel’s number? How dare he trick mer
Lucas paused just before ending the call.
The voice sounded oddly familiar, and that arrogant tone reminded him of something.
“Who are you looking for?” he asked.
“The mister who saved me last night, the girl on the other end replied.
Lucas asked in annoyance, “Mister? Seriously? Since when did I become a mister?”
At 24, he was still in his prime–definitely not old enough to be called that!
“Hah! So it’s you! Trying to fool me, huh?” The caller scoffed. It was Marisol.

Lucas immediately recognized her and decided to play along, pretending to be nervous. “Of course not! You’ve got dirt on me—I wouldn’t dare lie to you!”
Marisol seemed pleased with his response. “Good! Tomorrow night at seven, be at the east gate of Demonia University.” Her tone was commanding as if she expected no argument.
Lucas rolled his eyes. Did she truly think she could order him around?
“Oh? Seven o’clock at night? Sounds like a date,” he teased. “Have you booked a hotel yet?”
Marisol practically spat in frustration, “Ugh, don’t be crazy! I’m going out with my classmates, and you’re -coming as our bodyguard!”
“Oh? That so? Then I’m busy.”
Marisol’s tone immediately turned threatening. “Busy? Fine, then I’ll just report you and make sure you rot in jail! Hmph!”
Lucas found her amusing, though he masked his amusement with an exaggerated sigh. “You’re going too far!”
“So what? You bullied me first! Mister, you’re not getting away from me!” she declared smugly.
Lucas chuckled, pretending to give in. “Alright, alright.”
Marisol giggled in triumph. “That’s more like it! As long as you do as I say, I’ll keep your little secret.”
Lucas complained with a hint of frustration, “Wait, are you planning to never let me go? Are you sticking with me for life?”
“Ugh! Me? Spend my life with you? Dream on!” Marisol scoffed.
She paused for a moment before continuing, “Here’s the deal. Do three things for me—including tomorrow night–and I’ll let you off the hook.”
Lucas sighed dramatically. “Fine.”
“Hmph! You should feel honored! Do you know how many guys wish they could help me but never get the

With that threat. Marisol hung up.
Lucas smirked as he glanced at his phone. “This girl really won’t let me go. Interesting.”
The next morning, shortly after nine, Lucas dropped Celine off at the company.
Feeling restless in his office, he threw a few punches in the air to kill time. Soon after, he balanced himself on just two fingers, effortlessly performing a handstand.
A knock at the door interrupted his workout.
“Come in, Ms. James,” he said casually.
Years of living on the edge had sharpened his instincts–he could recognize people just by their footsteps.
Cherry stepped inside, dressed in a fitted business suit. From his current angle, her long, slender legs caught his attention.
“Mr. Campbell, how did you know it was me? And–wait, what are you doing?” she asked, startled at the sight of him upside down.
“Just practicing a Two–Finger Handstand.” Lucas chuckled, his gaze lingering on her legs wrapped in sheer stockings.
Cherry’s eyes widened in both surprise and admiration as she watched Lucas balance effortlessly on just two fingers.
“I always thought the Two–Finger Handstand was just a myth. I can’t believe you can pull it off–it’s incredible!” she exclaimed, clearly impressed.
Lucas flipped back onto his feet, flashing a mischievous grin. “You have no idea how strong these fingers are. They’re great for taking down men and even better at handling women. Ms. James, care to test them out?”
Cherry froze for a second, then her cheeks flushed a deep red. Shooting him a sharp glare, she huffed in embarrassment.
