Lucas was unexpectedly scolded but didn’t seem bothered. Instead, he chuckled knowingly and asked, “Are you upset because the deal with that actress fell through, sweetheart?”
Celine shot him a glare but chose to ignore him. What kind of ridiculous question was that? Of course, she wasn’t pleased. Who would be happy when negotiations fail?
Sure, with the Xaviers‘ influence, she could always find another celebrity for the endorsement, but none would have the same impact as Millic..
Right now, Millie was at the top of the industry, making her the ideal choice.
That said, Celine had no intention of agreeing to Millie’s unreasonable demands.
Lucas noticed her frustration and smirked. “If I can get Millie to sign the deal, what will you give me in return?”
Celine frowned slightly, then pursed her lips. “Lucas, I’m not in the mood for your jokes.”
“I’m being serious,” he said with a straight face.
She sneered. “Oh, please. If I can’t convince her, what makes you think you can?”
“You never know,” he replied, his tone unwavering. “What if I succeed?”
“How will you succeed? Don’t tell me you agreed to her ridiculous conditions on my behalf. If that’s the case, you can forget it!” Celine said impatiently.
“There’s no way I’d let my sweetheart attend some other man’s private event. That actress will agree to the deal–no strings attached,” Lucas said with a confident smirk.
Celine’s expression turned even colder. “Hah, no strings attached? If you can pull that off, then fine- anything goes.”
Lucas raised an eyebrow, his gaze sweeping over her with amusement. “Anything goes?”
For some reason, the intensity in his eyes made Celine’s heart skip a beat, but she quickly masked it with her usual pride, lifting her chin. “That’s right! If you can get Millie to accept the deal with no conditions, then I’ll agree to anything.”
“Deal! I’m not asking for much. If I pull it off, all you have to do is …”
Lucas trailed off, letting his gaze linger on Celine’s delicate features before flashing a teasing grin at her growing irritation. “Just call me ‘Honey‘. How does that sound?”
Celine’s expression stiffened for a brief second. “That’s all?”
“That’s it,” Lucas confirmed with an easy smile.
She studied him in disbelief before nodding. “Fine, I accept.”
She had expected him to make some ridiculous demand, but that? It was nothing more than an intimate nickname.
Although the thought made her feel a little awkward, she dismissed it as unimportant.

Besides, she was convinced there was no way Lucas could get Millie to agree without conditions. It was simply impossible.
“Be good and wait here, sweetheart. I won’t be long.”
With that, Lucas stepped out of the car and headed back inside the club,
A few minutes later, in the same private lounge-
Millie sat comfortably, her two towering bodyguards standing like statues at her sides.
She barely looked at Lucas as he entered, her tone flat. “What do you want?”
Lucas strolled in without hesitation, lazily propping his feet up on the table. “Let’s start with introductions. I’m Lucas Campbell.”
His rudeness instantly darkened Millie’s expression.
Her bodyguards exchanged glances, their gazes hardening as they sized him up.
“Alright, Mr. Campbell,” Millie said coolly. “If you have something to say, get to the point. If not, leave.”
“Of course, I have business with you,” Lucas replied, his tone edged with impatience. “I wouldn’t waste my time arguing with an actress otherwise.”
Despite Millie’s fame as a beloved celebrity with countless admirers, Lucas showed nothing but disdain.
Her expression darkened instantly, a flicker of anger crossing her striking features.
Her two bodyguards let out cold scoffs, their tense postures making it clear they were ready to step in and drive Lucas away by force.
They could hardly believe the audacity of this driver to speak to Millie with such disrespect.
However, Millie raised a hand, silently instructing them to stand down. Holding back her irritation, she spoke in an icy tone, her patience wearing thin, “Get to the point. What do you want?”
She suspected he was here on Celine’s behalf, so she resisted the urge to throw him out immediately.
Lucas leaned back with an air of nonchalance. “It’s simple. You’re going to agree to work with CEL Cosmetics–right now. No conditions. No negotiations.”
Millie paused briefly, then sneered.
“If Ms. Xavier accepts the conditions I set earlier, I’ll be more than happy to work with her,” she said coolly. “If not, then there’s nothing to discuss.”
